The sad thing is he WAS good at a sport. Hadn't been this year thus far and got fuckin' PAID in the twilight of his career. What a crazy contract.

I was watching epsn earlier, and some experts were saying that under the rules of contract, he won't even see 10 mil -- even though it says 40 mil is guaranteed. There's some stuff in there that protects the Redskins organization.

He's 16/29 tonight, with 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, so far...

At least he's keeping with his stats coming into the game of having thrown more interceptions than TD passes.

Redskins have out clause in McNabb’s new contract

LANDOVER, Md. (AP)—Nothing is straightforward about Donovan McNabb these days. It turns out the $40 million he is supposed to be guaranteed in his new contract could turn out to be a mere $3.5 million.

McNabb’s agent, Fletcher Smith, clarified some of the details of McNabb’s deal Tuesday. He says while the contract is worded so that it has “$40 million in guarantees,” the Redskins do have an option to cut McNabb at the end of the season with no further money due.

McNabb has been given $3.5 million this year as part of the new contract, but the rest of the five-year, $78 million package would come to naught if the team decides to cut ties.

He said on his weekly radio show on ESPN980 Tuesday that he expects to be with the team next year and “after that as well.”

Nice to see that at least the 'Skins' attorneys are good.
