We went to Ireland before Spain and Amsterdam (lots of pics)
Since we wanted to be sure to be over our jet lag prior to the beginning of The Barcelona Summit and Webmaster Access, we decided to go to Ireland for a week to get accustomed to the time change. All of the pics are up on GotBaddog.com if you would like to check them out.
I have to say, Ireland is one of my two favorite countries to visit, the other being Andorra. Here is a breakdown of the pics: Day 1, Amsterdam to Dublin ![]() ![]() ![]() We spent Tuesday in Dublin, getting our bearings ![]() ![]() ![]() Wednesday, we decided to take a three day bus tour that took us from Dublin to the west coast, then down and around the coast back to Dublin. If you are Irish, you can not help but come away with an elevated pride in your heritage. These are pics of the ride from Dublin to Galway. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sunday was the GAA?s All Ireland Football finals at Croke Park, featuring Cork vs Down. I had a feeling there would be few CNN iReporters there, so we headed over. These photos are from around Dublin on Sunday.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Monday evening we were flying to Barcelona, so Monday was our spiritual day and we visited Christ Church and St Patrick?s cathedrals, as well as the Jameson Distillery, Kilmainham Jail and the Church Bar. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you ever have the opportunity to visit Ireland, I highly recommend it. We will return, for sure. |

How much does it cost to get a girl to wear a shirt with a cartoon of you on it every day? That's pretty neat.

Yes, the problem is that some of it is so damned far away (I'm looking at you Australia) and others are too risky health-wise for my traveling companion.
When they start having shows in other faraway lands, I will give them more consideration. Right now, I don't really have time for pure pleasure travel. |

I have many people, of many genders ask for their own. I know there is a little Mexican girl in Bahia de los Angeles, BC, Mexico running around with one.

The erection at the intersection, otherwise known as the Spire of Dublin, Millennium Needle and a couple other names. I have heard a couple stories of why it was built, but the one I go with is that there was a statue of an Englishman there (name escapes me at moment, but one you would, and I should, know) and the IRA blew it up. They put this millennium monument up. In true Irish fashion it was not completed until 2002.

Ah..I think that was where their version of Nelson's column was located? Nelson's column is the statue in London's Trafalgar Square which is one of the hubs of the city.
I haven't been to either of the Irelands yet. I've spent enough time in Scotland and way too much time in Wales so I really should make it to those to have the set complete. On your next journey over here you should do Edinburgh, I think you would like the history of the buildings and the general landscape of the city. |

I believe that was it. I did not know it was part of a set. And yeah, next time we are going to Northern Ireland and Scotland. For being such a small place, there sure are a lot of things to see.
