![]() I still run some older server software on servers doing mundane tasks such as email servers, websites with little traffic, and reporting software.
I am starting to get concerned about reconfiguring my IPs from IPv4 to IPv6. I have my own C block of IPs and want to be prepared when IPv4 hits the wall next year. I know that IPv4 is not going anywhere for some time; but, I am concerned that the conversion process will slow traffic. Are people planning software work arounds, equipment/software upgrades, or just waiting to see what will happen? If we hit the wall and IPv4 is seriously degraded, I expect the price of new networking equipment to jump in price due to increased demand. ![]() Opinions, suggestions? Just wondering? |
