Decisions decisions.. Which Lappy to buy?

I need to replace an old laptop I use for heavy thunderbirding and to run 2 SEO appz.. Here are my choices:

1.
Toshiba Satellite A665D-S6084 PSAX0U-00G01P Notebook PC - AMD Phenom II X4 P940 1.7GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, DVDRW, 16.0" Widescreen Display, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

$799.99

2.
Sony VAIO VPCF13PFX/B Laptop Computer - Intel Core i7-740QM 1.73GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, DVDRW, 16.4" Display, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Black

$999.99

ADDTL INFO (CPUBENCHMARK-NET)
1.
Intel Core i7 740QM @ 1.73GHz

Overall Rank: 105

2.
AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 1.7

DAT Sony VAIO really worth it? I mean the CPU benchmarks for the i740 @ 1.73 don't seem all that impressive compared to the Phenom 940 @ 1.7..... any ideas? recommendations??

I didn't look at it too closely but the first thing that jumped at me was the big difference in graphics cards in those two

graphics uh? integrated 256MB-1917MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory vs dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 310M 512MB VRAM ..yeap there is a diff there.... however I was looking more towards the cpu/ram combo since most apps I'll run require some CPU/RAM ... I wont use it for video or stuff like that ... altho both seem rather capable of some decent video playback.....

2 VOTES FOR VAIO.... good stuff.... keep'em coming...

I mentioned it because that is where a part of the higher price comes from, the much faster dedicated video card that is not sharing the ram
