What camera to get next? Canon 60D, Nikon D3100 or Olympus EP2?
What do you reckon I should buy next?
Canon EOS 60D, Nikon D3100 or Olympus EP2 I can't decide ![]() I've got an Olympus e510 at the moment, takes really good photos but no video options for when I'm out and about and want to video something. I never carry a video camera around with me when on a trip or whatever, because I always prefer pictures to video. But lately i've been wanting to video a few things along the way. So, I need a camera that still takes good pictures and can shoot some decent vids aswell. Thinking of the EP 2 just because it would be easier to carry around cities etc. I also like the looks of the 60D and D3100. What do you reckon? Anyone here got any reviews on these babys? |

I'm upgrading my D70s to the new Nikon D3100. Looks like a winner. I have a Flip mino for video I carry around, it's great. I also have a Panasonic mini dv video cam for web work. I don't like to mix the pics with the vids.

The nikon & canon have similar lens quality & photos. If you have been used to an olympus, I would say stick to it, as long as youre happy using it & you like it. But I would have put my money on the nikon for professionalism.

I have a Canon 7D. The body is practically a rock. Rain, snow, extreme heat.
Love the thing.

![]() Will have to wait for these new cameras to get a few more reviews I think. I had a nikon ages ago when digital was still new so I know they are good. Never used canon during the digital era and most people I know using canon ain't what I would call professional photographers (not saying they ain't good, just saying they seem more popular with amateurs) My olympus still produces great pics. But mostly outdoors. It isn't so good for indoor shoots. Think the D3100 will be a good bet. Just out of curiousity, anyone using sony or samsung DSLRs? Never seen the quality these camera produce. |

Get the Nikon D300s or D3s :-) I have both and those are winners. They shoot very fast and have excellent quality. The D3s allows me to shoot at night with no flash at all due to its very high ISO (102,000). The D300s has Video too.
