Yep. five thirty eight has his projections as the republicans with 235 seats in the house (the democrats will have 200) and the democrats holding the senate with a 52 to 48 margin. He has been pretty accurate in the past so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Actually that's good so in 2012 when things are still shit they can't solely blame the dems. And since the dems and Obama were only entitled to 2 years to fix things in 2012 those republicans deserve to get voted out of office for not getting things fixed. Can't have double standards you know.

Will be interesting to see for sure. The biggest races this election are for governor because we just had a census. The governors, state by state, will redraw the districts prior to the 2012 elections.

Welcome to two years of do nothing grid locked government.

The real question is who will the voters blame in 2012 for the absence of government they'll be experiencing the next two years.

Standing presidents tend to be lightning rods for public discontent, so I'm guessing this will play out well for the teabaggers and bible thumpers.

It's not that we wanted a Republican takeover, it's that we didn't want Obama to freely continue on his destructive war path.

Yet on CNN tonight they were reporting that exit polls showed that the economy was the #1 concern for 68% of voters today. Health care and the health care bill only got 14%.

So Obama rammed a lot of this down the throat, but in the end it is mostly about the economy. While he and the democrats were busy trying to force thought the health care bill and pass their pet projects the should have been focusing on real world solutions to helping the economy get back on track.

Yes, but both the current state of the economy and health care bill go hand in hand. Obama spent 18months making health care reform his number 1 priority.
