Any affiliates here live in Spain? Advice needed.
I'm thinking of moving to Spain from the UK in the next few months, but the tax system looks like a beurocratic nightmare.
I've read that there are two different types of accounting systems - one of which is the crazy 'modulus', where you have to estimate your future income and pay tax in advance. Which system would a porn blogger be put on? I've also read that you have to keep strict double entry bookkeeping. How does that apply to affiliate marketing? Currently, I just record my expenses and sponsor payments and subtract the former from the latter at the end of the tax year. |

You forgot to mention social security, which no matter how much you make that month your paying at least 250 euros on top of hacienda.
It really depends where you're moneys coming from aswell. need to check about IVA contributions on US moneys, you may have to pay 18% on that aswell. Being autonomous here is a pain. Just keep all your tax stuff in the UK and live here, that's what alot of people do. |

Well there is no IVA on receipts from USA.. so that side is fine. If your register in the Canary Islands, there is no IVA on sales at all. Depends who is paying you.
You may want to think about establishing a company here, as there are lots of costs you can offset against your earnings in Spain, and that will reduce tax on profits. Let me know if you want an intro to a good accountant.. |
