My Clickbank check is lost

I found a old Clickbank check on $3000, it was too old to be cashed. I talked to CB and they said that I would send it back.
I did, I didn't send it with any tracking or whatever it's called. Very dumb, I know. The check is now lost!

I've talked to their support and they want it back before they add the cash to my account again, and they take days to get back with a reply so talking to them is a problem.

Wouldn't it be possible for them to just... "disable" the check or something so it cant be cashed or how do these things work? Why is it so important that it will get back to them?

Yes it should be possible. It usually costs $20 - $50 to put a stop payment on the check. Unless they have good reason not to do this then it seems pretty scummy to give you the run around. Hopefully this is just a misunderstanding.

I hate to cash checks so I leave them lying around. I sent back another check to another network at the same time and they have received it.

Yeah, I will try to talk with them again. I asked them to disable it but they just did answer with some stupid questions.

That's a load of shit.. They have a record of what cheques they've sent you and they can see which were cashed and which weren't. They can see from their own records if a new cheque can be issued. Of course if the expiration date was say 3 months and you found it at 4 months then I can see them wanting it back, there's still a window there.

A lot of people want the cheque back, not sure why. But I've never had someone say they need it back before reissuing a new cheque if the time lapsed was long enough.

Tell CB that you'll pay the stop check and cancellation fees and they should have no problem doing it.

no shit, whats the issue? They couldn't just get the check number from you? Or fax or something? if the check is expired, it's not like you're going to run out and cash it.
