Wireless printers which do you use and does it piss you off?

I have a Canon wireless printer that just decided to not work this morning and I spent 5 hours trying everything I could to get it back online. At least it beat the 6 month record of the last one I had. So that's 2 fucking wireless printers that I've thrown in the dumpster.

If you're using a wireless printer and it doesn't make you want to throw it through a fucking window, which model is it? I'd like to try it out.

I have an HP network printer (CP1518ni). Haven't had an issue with it. Just plug it into your network somewhere and you can print to it from any PC in your house, after the few clicks you need to get your PC to recognize it.

I'll look into that one. Actually, the 2 that I've thrown away were also easy to set up and worked flawlessly, until the day they decided to not work.

Maybe that was the original suggested retail price when it first came out.

You can get them now for less than $200 Canadian.

I have a bluetooth network setup to accomodate guests with laptops. Works really well, but not within you $100 budget though.

I have used both Brother and HP wireless printers and both worked well out of the box.

However both eventually decided to stop working well for no apparent reason and became wired printers in a short amount of time.

ha -- that's the problem. Many people complain about wireless printers just stopping eventually. WTF?

I use the HP-B209a, works well and I've had no problems with it. I think I paid around $119 for it.

I'm using an Epson Stylus SX610FW, being recommended at loads of review sites too.

In case you did not do this yet, assign a dedicated local IP to your wireless printer, game consoles and your computer(s), it vastly improves network stability.

I have a Dell V715w and I love it. I've had it for about 8 months or so and other than running out of paper and ink, it's been great. With the kids having access to it on their computers, I never know what is going to come shooting out of that damn thing. lol

But it's never given me a single problem.

ended up with the Brother 630w. Seems pretty nice so far, and was super easy to set up. Keeping my fingers crossed.

HP LaserJet P1102W - bought it about 4 months ago and I have to say it's the best home printer I've ever bought. When it's not in use, it auto powers off (not standby but off) yet when I click print, it wakes up and the page is printed in under a few seconds. Very fast little thing too.

Since I got this, I'll never go back to inkjets for regular stuff, preferring to use my Epson R1900 A3 photo printer if I ever need colour.

--edit €70 to purchase, comes with cartridge for 2500 sheets. Cartridges that last 5000 sheets are ~€70. Well worth it.
