Here's an idea to convert more people once they're your tour.

DamianJ started a thread recently about a new idea for a tour. Saying most tours are boring. His idea IMO was way off the mark, but at least he was thinking and right, most tours ARE boring.

Also Stocktrader's idea about creating something more inventive got me thinking as well.

So here's the idea. You have to shoot some of it specially but it will be worth it.

Firstly get rid of the oversize banner. Few give a damn what the site is called so a big banner is a waste of space, just a small one if one at all. You need to get the content over not a name that means nothing. Unless you're Hustler.

Page 1. The warning page. It has a short video made up of softcore clips from the movies or/and the pictures inside the site. For pictures it could be a slide show, movie clips just merged into each other. This little preview can open with the sites name.

Page 2. Again hit the surfer right away with "This site is different." A sample preview clip featuring one of the models telling the audience in her/his own words what they like about being in porn, maybe why and doing the scene that's also cut into the preview.

They has to talk about this in her own words, so only models who can string a sentence together and have a personality. I imagine it might be something like this.

Also we have loads of pictures.

And live shows.

Cut in clip of the live shows.

And this bit can be what ever your site offers and make site worth $30. Even tell the guys "It's only a dollar a day."

You can alter the basic idea to your needs and style or niche. Girls talking about their big tit or why they love having guys worship their feet or what ever works well also.

It shows models as being people and that's a good thing with porn buyers and gets the surfer interest and intrigued to see inside the site. For a solo girl site it's an absolute slam dunk. But it will work for any site with the creative genius to make content worth buying.

A site like Twistys or any site with well known models it's also a slam dunk.

Downside is you have to create the content. If you shoot models who don't speak English a voice over is a solution. If you shoot dumb models can't help you.

Someone who has been bounced through a lot of sites in an afternoon before deciding that actually they would go back and join something they saw 2 hours ago might have remembered who you were with a bit of branding and a memorable name.

If the content of the site doesn't make it stand out enough to remember or bookmark. What's the odds on them coming back? Of course have the name on the preview, allow it to be downloaded. Even expand on this idea for TGPs and Tube videos.

Which is probably why so much content is boring and members aren't buying so much today.

One of the best features of a Tube is the ability to sort through content until you find a nugget. With so many sites relying on shooters and models who can't do a simple task like I described why risk $30 to sign up?

Seriously I don't mean that as a slur, but if a shooter and some models can't carry this off then why sign up to a site. Once content all gets down to the lowest common denominator the customer is less likely to spend money.

Yes it is. You were promoting a solo girl site not so long ago. Do you think this idea would make more or less people join? Assuming the girl can carry it off.

In 2010 if the surfer just wants another dumb bird fucking on a sofa why should he join a site. Tubes have it in bucket loads. A site has to have something that's very different and better today if it's to succeed. Some guys will hate the idea of a model having a personality. They won't like this idea. Some guys will love it.

And this is the problem. So much traffic hits a site that simply does not inspire the surfer to look further. Let alone get out his credit card. Today we need to step up and really think out new ideas, not redo the same ideas that have been done 100s of time before.

When a surfer hits a site it's up to that site to grab him by the balls and make him want to see more, Lady Sonia and Danica can do it. Why not others.

Also when he's in the site retention is reliant on the content ability to keep him a member.

Your income depends on it more than you think.

Like all forms and styles of porn what appeals to one man turns another off. That doesn't mean another man won't be turned on by the idea of a girl talking. Once girls become pieces of flesh the desire to pay for a membership lessens. And in todays porn world of Tubes we need every possible tool we can find to get surfers to sign up.

And yes you need to this type of content on the site so it can't be stolen. But maybe a clip of this type on a Tube site might make surfers intrigued to see more.

The sad thing about this thread is how some don't see the possibility of a site that turns many models rather than one, into a person with a personality and character. If the models do the introduction or review of what they have done and how they felt, as themselves, they all come out differently. Giving the consumer something to hang onto as they watch them perform.

I used to do these by the hundreds about 8 years ago until we realized that giving them minutes worth of content on a tour hindered sales.

A short clip with a few different girls from the tour seems to work ok though.
