How many TGP's will post .PHP galleries these days?

Do TGP's accept galleries w/ php URL's? How are freehostedgalleries getting posted? SSI?

What about something that looks like this? Would it be rejected just because of the URL?

http://www.blahblahblah.com/display.php?name=Jana

?

I'm sure TGP's are probably worried about redirects and stuff, but the same could be done w/ a normal gallery... A friend wants to make some galleries and if they could use .php it would be so much easier... what do you think?

Yup, redirecting and stuff wouldn't be easier with php.. it's not really a php thing, more a psychological thing, i mean if you don't know much about php than that url already looks like it's up to something ;-P.

Just have them parse the .html files as php and they can put whatever coding in there that they like.
They can do this through an .htaccess file if their host has enabled that, through their vhost.conf file if they're on a Plesk box, or through the httpd.conf at the root level (just have them have their host do it for them if they don't run their own box).

Oh whipping out the skills. You still didn't tell him how to do it... You just threw around some config file names to sound cool.

Add this line to your .htaccess file:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .html
