Trump Abandons Treaty That Limits Russia’s Use Of Ballistic Missiles
Putin's pet doing his master's bidding. So Putin wants freedom to use the long range missiles to attack and invade which neighbor? "Once the United States withdraws from the treaty, there is no reason for Russia to even pretend it is observing the limits. Moscow will be free to deploy the 9M729 cruise missile, and an intermediate-range ballistic missile if it wants, without any restraint." Putin Velebrates as Trump Abandons Treaty That Limits Russia’s Use Of Ballistic Missiles Vladimir Putin’s hand-picked president is on the verge of making another move to please the Russians. According to The New York Times, “The Trump administration is preparing to tell Russian leaders next week that it is planning to exit the landmark Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty.” As The Hill noted on Saturday, “The 1987 pact bans all land-based missile with ranges of 310 to 3,420 miles and includes missiles carrying both nuclear and conventional warheads. The original ban between Moscow and Washington resulted in 2,692 missiles being destroyed.” The treaty worked well for years, despite recent Russian violations. Killing it would remove any incentive for Moscow to even pretend they care about the limits the treaty imposed. Not only could Russia use cruise and intermediate-range ballistic missiles to its heart’s desire, but the United States currently doesn’t have any weapon to match what Moscow has. The Brookings Institution explains: [O]nce the United States withdraws from the treaty, there is no reason for Russia to even pretend it is observing the limits. Moscow will be free to deploy the 9M729 cruise missile, and an intermediate-range ballistic missile if it wants, without any restraint. [T]he United States currently has no missile that it could quickly deploy to match the Russians. The “integrated strategy” included a treaty-compliant research and development program for a U.S. intermediate-range missile (development is allowed short of flight-testing), but it provided little money. … U.S. withdrawal from the INF Treaty is a loser all around. Russian officials probably are celebrating the news. Trump has been Putin’s dream When Hillary Clinton said Donald Trump would be a puppet for Vladimir Putin, she couldn’t have been more right. That culminated over the summer when Trump stood before the world and sided with Russia over the United States. Throughout his presidency, he has threatened our NATO alliances and isolated the United States from some of our closest allies, all while holding brutal dictators and autocrats close – from Russia to North Korea to Saudi Arabia. Donald Trump is being played by some of America’s most dangerous adversaries, and it could have devastating consequences. |

there is no making an arms deal with a country like the USA who can not afford peace...war is the #1 export, war is the #1 employer and war is the #1 expenditure...
peace is not an option, arm up in the most underhand way possible because the parkour terminators are coming

it would cost them too much money what they need urgently in other issues. putin also does not have the tax payer cow he can milk like trump can. the war industry in the USA flourished in the cold war. of course it wants such a business back. more tax money for the weapons industry and a nice commission for trump. it's called a "good deal.". |

But blaming just Trump in this case is also wrong, Bush Jr. and Obama are equally at fault for forcing their stupid missile shield against Iran on Europe and refusing Russia to work on this together. Now Russia uses this as an argument that from the same launchpads also short and midrange ballistic missiles against Russia could be fired and therefore the US is equally in violation of the treaty.

true, it would be much more helpful if the missiles would be pointing at the US as well, maybe this would change some thinking instead of feeling safe by being far away enough from all the misery that war mongering brings (from all sides).

then they should expel all klingon bases from europe...no need for "allies" when an attack on europe = guaranteed "off"... then they should grow some balls and start confiscating US airplanes and ships that are headed for the USA and fill them up with the victims of US foreign policy that our "ally" the USA is flooding us with and send them to the USA...no possible trade can be done until all the refugees are sent to the USA... there is no reason to get proxy fucked by invaders hiding on the other side of the world shielded from the destruction they cause on our side of the world...fuck that LOL

ftr, imo the accord should be renegotiated. this isn't an opportunity for more nukes for anyone. these are tactical nukes, not strategic, that ruski broke the accord on. that's not good. even if you're covered in putin splooge you should be able to see that ruski should not be reopening the door to non-strategic nukes.

IMO everybody should nuke the fuck up as much as possible especially in the dirtiest way possible...invaders will not give you a fair fight, there is no reason to even negotiate with invaders what you can and can not use to defend from invasion...

serbie's too dumb to realize he's arguing for extreme violence while the American is advocating non-violence, yet serbie claims the American is pro-violence.
