Royal Marine (Just up the road from me) uses JetPack on army assault course...

Flight test was conducted at Commando Training Centre Lympstone in Devon, UK. However, jet pack created lot of noise but it still seems science fiction when a soldier can wield a jetpack and fly in battlefield

Cool

I heard about this a few months ago. Amazing. I think the guy has to work-out like crazy to be strong enough to manage the rockets attached to his arms. I *think*, he has to exert alot of downward force to control himself and so that one of the rockets don't break his arm or something like that... but still, really cool.

Can you imagine an army rigged with those things? Or a bunch of flying cops swooping in to catch the bad guys? The future is almost here.

You'd think so, but apprently not that much...

Flying the Daedalus suit doesn't call for superhuman strength, according to Browning. The effort required is “less than holding yourself up with straight arms off the back of two chairs,” he said.

Looks fun, but not weaponizable.

I have 6 jet packs similar to this packed away in stuff i brought from the UK. They came from a cancelled film project and the production company never asked for them back. They are not as sophisticated and only produce about 50lb of thrust each. But that should be enough to get my fat ass off the ground, if they don't explode first ?

Just enough power to fly immigrants over the border wall.
