Who cares what an outsider thinks? When I think about the USA I also don't consider it as a part of America, because in my opinion it is just an area populated by European, Asian and African immigrants. For example, the population of Mexico and Latin America have some real native American (Indian) roots. The USA and Canada haven't and that's why I don't consider these countries as America.

P.S. Australia is the same thing as the USA and Canada. It has nothing to do with the natives and it turned into an immigrant zone.
