Why do people think that if their rich they will be happy?

Money just buys you comfart thats it, doesnt make you happier.

H-Tom 04-08-2011 01:44 AM

imo it's a lot easier to be happy with money.

Dirty Dane 04-08-2011 01:51 AM

Because rich people get laid.

SuckOnThis 04-08-2011 01:58 AM

The years I was pulling in close to a million a year were actually the most miserable. Some family and friends that you've known for a long time become resentful and others become nicer. With the exception of a very few you get to the point where you don't know who the fuck to trust. It is nice not having to worry about money though, definitely gives you a sense of control over your life.

Paul Markham 04-08-2011 01:59 AM

Being very poor must suck. But few of us are that.

However I spent a week with a family of rice farmers in N. Thailand and lived in their village. Never met so many happy people.

My Brother lives in Socal in San Jaun Capistrano. When I stay with him I'm shocked how few of his neighbors I know, how few greet you and the general atmosphere of the place. All bloody grumpy in pursuit of their next dollar.

We now live in a village in Czech and it's not the richest place on the planet, not the 3rd world either, but everyone is happy. People you don't know say "Good Day" as you pass them on the street. They're polite, friendly and warm.

I suppose it's about expectations and desires. Some have enough, some will never have enough.

Kiopa_Matt 04-08-2011 02:03 AM

It gives you the freedom of choice. You can go on vacations when you want, eat what you want, never worry about taking care of yourself or the family, never have to worry if unexpected expenses (ie. medical) come up, etc.

Just don't tell many people you have money, and definitely don't flaunt it. I've always respected the guys who drive around in some 20 year old beat up truck, live in a typical house, but all the while have say $3 million socked away. You'd never know they were rich.

Sabby 04-08-2011 02:44 AM

I like to be at a happy mid class... not so much money that your S.O. can go on a drug binge... but you have enough to pay your bills and your kids... and a bit of shopping and a bit of shopping...

Sabby:)

Antonio 04-08-2011 03:27 AM

Rich men get the best pussy, cars, services, hotels, food, medical care, vacations, so yeah, being rich gives you better shot at happiness. If you are self-pitying, no cock, no balls, dickhead loser, then money won't make much of a difference, but give me rich any time of the day and I won't turn you down.

TeenCat 04-08-2011 03:31 AM

if you are rich and you saw everything and you have everything, it is really not a great life if you dont have nothing new to enjoy. and i am not talking about daily checking how your money are flowing, oh man, i dont want to be rich ...

jezz87 04-08-2011 03:51 AM

because they have been brainwashed to worship money and that buying things will make their life happier. It's a scam...

Emil 04-08-2011 03:55 AM

That's funny, when I make a lot of money I feel great! But when my income gets lower I get a depressed.

So STFU with your stupid "money dont make you happier"-shit. Only retarded fucks like Britney spears say such shit.

Tell it to the starving people in Africa!

nikki99 04-08-2011 03:57 AM

health is way more important, per example, I was thinking the other day, to have 10million dollars cash in my pocket, but 1 week constipated, no poop... feeling like shit... full of shit .... money wud be worthless ....

edit: anyways I get robbed a week ago and felt very bad

AWW - Kevin 04-08-2011 04:00 AM

money doesn't necessarily bring happiness
money problems or "not" having money however often cause unhappiness

money is one piece of the puzzle to be happy, you don't need to be rich to be happy!

so what you talk about? your income is lower and you are depressed ... i am depressed half of the month cause every second day i make less than the other ... no money, no problems, life goes, but money means you have dreams that may be real and if something goes wrong, you can have much bigger issues than the guy who is poor ... more money doesnt means be more happy, at least it doesnt work it for myself ... :2 cents:

nikki99 04-08-2011 04:02 AM

bottom line, u have to poop every day

Here's a hint: stop taking cocks in the ass.

cherrylula 04-08-2011 05:13 AM

money can't buy health. :(

Sometimes even the rich die young. It means nothing.

If I was filthy rich I would not want anyone to know, and would wear flip flops all the time. :)

BV 04-08-2011 05:18 AM

because

it's better to be rich and unhappy
than poor and unhappy

femdomdestiny 04-08-2011 05:26 AM

Whats money, without great health ?
You could be the richest man in the world, if the doctor gives you 6 months to live, your money isnt going to count for much then

TheDoc 04-08-2011 05:35 AM

I grew up in Texas, and have lived in Alabama and Georgia. I've seen what I consider worse than 3rd world conditions in our own Country...

Some of the happiest, nicest, giving, hard ass working people I've ever met, were dirt ass poor. These people will bend over backwards to help everyone but themselves... and they're totally happy doing it.

On the flip side, I've met some off the wall, crazy ass broke poor people that think everyone should pay them for their miserable lives.

Then again, I've met many rich/wealthy people (many in this Industry), that are worse off than any poor person I've ever met. Miserable lives, total failure in family life, wouldn't help their own moms cross the street, but they've got money!

But... for everyone jacked up rich person you can find, you have one willing to do everything they can to help the person next to them and they're perfectly happy doing so.

Agree with this - there are poor people who are quite happy, and rich people who are miserable.

"people" think richness is 7.5 milllion, but when people with 7.5 million were asked what rich was, they said 25 mil. People with 25 mil say 125 mil.

In reality, the happiest people are people who do stuff diligently and succeed. Money tends to follow that and happiness comes from going slowly up the ladder. A little more fame and a little more money = happiness.

Wrong. It *can* make you happier. Just not happy, per se.

Evil Chris 04-08-2011 06:39 AM

I have found that money brings a certain amount of freedom, but not necessarily happiness.

spazlabz 04-08-2011 06:39 AM

there is a lot of stress with being poor or even doing ok but lots of debt, like most Americans are. If you had enough money to be considered rich them a lot of those pressures would be gone and you would feel much happier.. that is my theory at least

Barefootsies 04-08-2011 07:00 AM

If you are unhappy poor, you will still be unhappy rich.

There is only so many things that money will solve, and it is a very small piece of true happiness and your life. You can buy a lot of temporary bliss, be able to live some of your dreams, but ultimately you will never fill that hole.

J. Falcon 04-08-2011 07:22 AM

If you have a lot of money it must be depressing to think you could lose it, so you work twice as hard, only to worry more and more about losing all the money you worked so hard to acquire. So it's not impossible to understand why being rich doesn't mean you will be happy.

Anyone who thinks money does not bring you happiness is a total pussy. Business is my hobby and money is my trophy, my gold medal for all my years of work. When I get my gold medal I will feel fully accomplished.

Business is my sport. I play to win and winning in business is money.

I come from humble beginnings, work hard and you will be dam sure when I fully make it i will have a gleaming happy smile right across my face.

I dont need money to be happy but you will be dam sure I will be even happier smoking the finest drinking the best.
