Please post in this thread when you know the payout details? It sounds interesting.

Also, here's something more for your FAQ. What happens if we provide video content but are not happy with the returns. Can we take back the rights for you and partners to display the videos? Can you promise they are removed from your servers, etc?

the idea is to get full videos so the payouts are as follows

videos under 10 mins = 20%
videos under 20 mins (but over 10) = 25%
Videos over 20 mins = 30%

The possibilities with a system like this are amazing and the potential of combing it with the other things you guys have been releasing... wow. Nicely done.

It really sounds like a great idea, but with payouts that low, I don't think I'll be taking advantage of it.

if you are not happy, we end the relationship, and we will remove the content, the agreement provides us with 60 days to fully remove the content, during which time you still get paid, however the 60 days is just a number I am sure it doesn't have to take us that long.

you have to remember though, this is not an instant gratification like selling a PPS, or like selling the rights to a dvd, this is rev share, so you have to look at the big picture. You have to look at what your video is going to make in a year, in two years, well at least over time.

doesn't make sense - there are full videos that are 9 minutes long that will get 100 times the views of a shitty 40 minute video. basing a video's worth on its length isn't the answer.

you want full length videos - it shouldn't matter if the video's full length is 12 minutes or 35 minutes.

everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this certainly is not itunes.

think about this, we are offering up 30% of our money to producers.

how many porn companies do you think spend 30% of their revenues on content. Or give 30% of their revenues to producers?

there is a lot more here than just raw views.

to me, the value of your content is a derivative of several variables including length, quality, talent ETC.

although you are right, a great short clip can get more views than a long scene. a long scene promotes increased time on site, increased time with ads displayed in the users field of view, and the users knowledge that their access isn't going to get cut off right before the good part.

So, although it is certainly possible for a shrot video to generate more advertising revenue, there are other advantages to longer videos that you have to consider, and we chose to compensate for those advantages.

This is a new concept and people will not understand but those that get it will make $$.

Then everyone will be doing it.

think about this, you are offering to keep up to 80% of the money you earn from the producers' content to the producers.

and if I just went and bought the rights to the content, I would be keeping 95%, we're trying to make money for people who have been having a harder and harder time making money.

like Dave said, a lot of people arn't going to get it, but others will, and they will make good money by doing so.
