Anyone buying Facebook stock on Friday?

Anyone buying Facebook stock on Friday?

I thought about picking up some but will wait to see how it trades, there seems to be some negative articles surfacing the last couple of days.

I did pick up some Zynga (ZNGA) today, it makes the games on Facebook , should be a good play since it accounts for a 11% of Facebooks earnings.

Another bubble is coming.

BIGTYMER 05-16-2012 07:39 PM

Get in at open and sell at the end of the day.

Easy money.

Buying at that spike might leave you holding the bag at the end of the day.

Bubbles are good if you know how to capitalize on them.

Bubbles only come by every ten years or so.

Facebook's IPO: Do not buy

Facebook's IPO will substantially enrich some bankers, venture capitalists, privileged early investors, and early-stage employees--and that's about it. Thinking about buying some stock for yourself? Don't bother--this IPO is not for you.

It's been about 10 years since the last one.

BIGTYMER 05-16-2012 07:59 PM

Yeah I may lose my ass but that's my strategy for FB. I will sell early if things go south.

They have big problem in Europe because we have laws that that force them to send all information they have about us if we ask for that. All user outside U.S and Canada can get acces to their data.

"According to European data protection law every individual has the right to get a copy of all personal data a company holds about him (right to access). This law is applicable to Facebook too. Every user with a residence outside of the US and Canada has a contract with ?Facebook Ireland Limited?, based in Dublin, Ireland and has a right to access therefore. "

The news about GM pulling $10 million in ad revenue wasnt a shocker. Facebook ads are worthless. Bought a few hundred dollars worth and wasn't impressed. I'll stick with Google ads or even Bing/Yahoo ads.

joerudy1988 05-16-2012 10:45 PM

It's way overpriced!

bean-aid 05-16-2012 10:47 PM

It's a loser for sure... prediction... 70% drop in value in 1 week

p.s. I thought the stock came out months ago? I don't do that shit anymore

The spike might be in the first hour. :1orglaugh

The news today was they closed taking orders. which worries me if my pension funds bought any. A company can't possible value itself at 100 x it's yearly profit. If they increase it by ten fold next year it will still take years for FB to be worth $100 billion. Likely hood of them growing next year is unknown.

pornmasta 05-16-2012 11:53 PM

i'm waiting that facebook sinks

The new dot com bubble...

it's the social bookmarking bubble.

Tulip Mania, people in Holland could buy a house for the price of 1 tulip. Overnight, you could get 3 tulips for 1 dollar.

last and biggest IPO from this bubble.
GRPN has already failed and is already on their way down

Saltydog 05-17-2012 02:02 AM

I will take a look at the price around 10 or 11 am to avoid the rush and wait for it to settle.

You really don't have a scooby, do you?

bronco67 05-17-2012 04:18 AM

It's very lucrative to make a site morons can use to look at baby pictures and post drunk office party pictures.

seeandsee 05-17-2012 04:24 AM

FB will sink in future, they are just chat-game-status platform, it will go down once...

pornguy 05-17-2012 04:59 AM

If you have the money to put in at least 20K then it might be worth it. Thing is by the time it opens to the public I see it being in the 60 to 80$ per share range so that the bankers etc can be sure to double or triple the income from what they got at the early opening.
