Beware of MrSkin: they will screw you over and keep your money
I had been promoting MrSkin Cash for a few years before this bunch of crooks screwed me over and kept my money.
I think it happened because i stopped sending them much traffic. So they decided to terminate my account under bullshit pretenses so that they wouldn't have to pay me for rebills anymore. What happened is that one day they emailed me and told me that they were closing my account because of some DMCA complain. They told me that I was using some other celebrity content to promote them (on some old thumb gallery from years ago), and not their content exclusively, and that there was a DMCA complaint sent to them. Which is bullshit because I had my contact info prominently displayed on my websites and never received anything. So I asked them to show me that DMCA complaint. They started to pussyfoot around, told me that my domains were in violation because they contained "skin" in their name. They told me to hand the domains over. I transferred the domains to them because I didn't want to lose money, but they still won't unlock my account and now stopped all correspondence. Anyway, MrSkin are a bunch of scumbags who will find any bullshit reason to close your account so that they can keep the rebills money. Friendly advice, stay away from these assholes. |
Sorry to hear that, man ...
|
Ouch.
Feels bad, man |
spiderdollars closed my account as well and kept all my rebills, same with nichecastle

Hopefully this will get resolved
I've heard a lot of good things about them |
I promote mrskin and they pay no problem.
|
Damn, this sucks.
If you're looking for a new celeb program try these guys TabloidDollars It's invite only (you have to email them) but if you can send a few sales per day, the conversion ratios are fantastic. Tell em Jimmy sent ya. |
DMCA "on some old thumb gallery from years ago"
What's the URL you got the DMCA for, and what celebrity? |

or email transcript with some asshole named "Austin"? LOL Quote:
Any webmaster who is promoting celebs uses all kinds of celebs content. From news, blogs, etc etc. To stick exclusively to one programs content is retarded. Anyway, as soon as they emailed me, i took down all content in question. But they don't care cause they were just looking for an excuse to not pay. |

Celeb name was Jolene Blalock, but they never showed me a copy of DMCA. (i dont think there ever was one. All dmca's usually get sent to hosting, not sponser) |
What does terminating an account have to do with a DMCA report? They don't own any content, they "borrow" it themselves from all over the place
ROFL :1orglaugh sorry to hear dude |

I've heard people ask me about MrSkin and copyright issues.
I've always dismissed them as one of those who ride piggyback on others and don't care about copyright. |
fuck all of them man

Was just joking but guess they do have a tube MrSkinFree.com ? |

My understanding is that in all these years they have never been sued and some movie companies actually send them videos and screengrabs as a way of promoting their movie. |

thanks , but was asking the op if this true story or not. why movie companies don't do anything about it ? |
Movie companies love Mr. Skin and for good reason. They keep people interested in catalog titles that would otherwise be forgotten. The free promo on Stern doesn't hurt either.
By the sound of it OP, you were in violation of their terms. They chose to can you for it. Get over it or get on the right side of the terms and work it out. People that have made money with them for years by not being in violation of terms aren't going to change just because you wanted to grouse on gfy about them. |

Mr Skin have to be careful for obvious reasons - I KNOW they didn't can you for no reason - What is the real story?..
|
id imagine theres a valid reason.

thank you op! i have not cried while laughing for a long time!
|

Either way the affiliate should get paid out. Unless of course there is more to the story, which there always is in these types of cases. |

Now i am over it. Just making this thread to warn other people. The terms you are referring to are retarded. By that logic, any webmaster promoting them could be canned on the spot. Because you can only use their own (LOL?) content on your websites to promote them. I used some photo off the net that didnt have "mr.Skin" stamped on it, and because of that i had my account closed and was robbed of my rebills money. In reality they canned me because i stopped sending them traffic since they convert like crap, they saw it and didn't want to pay for rebills. Quote:
I just told you what happened. They terminated me for some bullshit dmca report and wouldn't even show it to me. And sure as hell this wasn't in their TOS when i signed up, neither it is now. If they want to keep your rebills, they will make up a reason to terminate you. Here, their ToS basically say that they can terminate you if they feel like it: https://www.mrskincash.com/terms http://i.imgur.com/HTeidP9.png All i did was promote them for years. Then some magical complain happened that they refuse to show. Then they terminate my account. Ok, lets assume they don't want me promoting them anymore. But why steal my rebills money? |
well the webmaster is at the mercy of shady program owners and not much you can do aside from shooting your own content and selling it. Not feasible for a one man show. As long as you are sending traffic you could promote snuff content for all they care.
|
Quote:
You got that wrong... Actually program owners are at the mercy of shady webmasters. Also your logic is off, but I will complete your sentence:" ....not much you can do aside from shooting your own content and selling it, so you have to steal it and then sell it to another thief." |
Quote:
What shady history? - You keep on with this shit - Even accusing me of stealing your content... Keep your gob shut or I will dig that up and stir some shit - OK?.... |
Quote:
I shoot content and am not a webmaster so I dont have a dog in the fight. I dont care how many affiliates you fuck over, but I can tell by your tone you have little respect for the people trying to peddle your shit. I have no idea what the op did to have his account terminated. I do know that if he quit sending traffic and there was good amount of rebills, it's probably in the program's best interest to terminate and keep the revenue. I could be wrong because my logic is so flawed. I am sure you will set me straight. Looking forward to reading why I am so wrong. PS. I know there are tons of great programs that go beyond the reasonable to support affiliates. Not talking about them or mrskin either. |
