2MuchMark 09-24-2018 08:45 AM

CNN and MSNBC are reporting that he has been summoned to the WH.

If Trump fires Rosenstein, it's all over for Trump. At least, it should be.

Yes because firing a coup plotter is so out of control that he should be impeached. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

You libs are so out of touch with reality it's sad really.

He's not.. its a lie by the Trump admin to muddy the waters... Rosenstein has not stated he'd resign..

The story on tne 25th amendment was a BS story from Trump's WH now this today.. they are trying to muddy the waters by lying to the American people before they fire him.

apparently the whole thing is wh fabricated. tbh, i haven't done my research on this.

beerptrol 09-24-2018 09:39 AM

more likely he got a tongue lashing and asked to clarify what happened

Why resign when you can do more damage by having them fire you!

He said it in 2 different meetings confirmed by multiple sources as "serious" talk

His "resigning" may be premature.. Apparently he's meeting with many higher ups at the moment.

dyna mo 09-24-2018 09:44 AM

if anyone is interested, IF Rosenstein resigns, the task of overseeing the special council would fall to Solicitor General Noel Francisco. I'm not sure how it would work if Rosenstein is fired.

She's an actual Trump pick.. Trump stated the other day he didn't actually pick Rosenstein.. He was "establishment in line pick" by Sessions. Which is why he got confirmed by nearly 100%

dyna mo 09-24-2018 09:48 AM

Noel's a dude.

well, I guess oversight would fall to him then, when trump fires Rosenstein. apparently, that's where this is all going.

crockett 09-24-2018 09:53 AM

Trump is playing tne same game he did with Rex Tillerson and Scott Pruitt. He leaks to the press that they resigned then he fires them. He has a track record of doing this and purposely lying to the American citizens..

If he's dumb enough to actually follow through with firing him, it will trigger massive protests designed to grind things to a halt..

https://act.moveon.org/survey/muelle...-response-plan

RED LINES

Here are the actions Donald Trump could take that would set these protests in motion:

THE RED LINES – in graphic form here.

Firing Mueller
Pardons of key witnesses
Actions that would prevent the investigation from being conducted freely, such as replacing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Mueller’s current supervisor, or repealing the regulations establishing the office
* The firing of Attorney General Jeff Sessions would be one step short of the break glass moment. We would not trigger events, but we would respond by growing the rapid-response list and demanding that any new AG protect the investigation and that Congress pass the Mueller protection legislation. *

onwebcam 09-24-2018 09:56 AM

Apparently Rosenstein offered his resignation and Trump put it off until Thursday so they could talk 1 on 1.

From what I understand is that Noel is unconfirmed.. But because the Senate has failed to confirm in a certain time frame Trump can automatically appoint him to that position. If Rosenstein leaves apparently he can then move Noel into RR's position without confirmation..

dyna mo 09-24-2018 10:10 AM

i read earlier he's confirmed as of last year

I am certain a discussion of the 25th amendment has occured, but not in the context being put forth.
Rod has no power to execute 'turning trump loose', only congress does. And there is a lot of 'if's' along the way.

But I am sure someone has came to him to get the details of the procedure. After all, they are the law enforcement finger of the government. What does that make him guilty of ? Doing his job ?

He is powerless to do anything except see that the law is executed as congress has provided.

What the whole thing is about is stopping or attempting to stop the investigation by planting a person in that office that will fire Muller. And do so before the elections or before the new congress swears-in.

If any of this actually happens and congress does not step in, they all deserve to go out on their ass.

I see constitutional crisis of the worst kind brewing.

The discussion was recruiting members to oust Trump. A coup..
