Did you get paid to promote the film too with all your shill accounts? No wonder you don’t approve of me calling out astroturfers

I see astroturfers as a cancer spreading around the internet, causing it to rot and decay, making many parts of it now toxic to mind and body.

Rochard 03-09-2019 08:25 PM

I went to see it on opening night - Thursday. We bought our tickets through Fandango, and it was instantly clear that tickets were going pretty quickly. I started hunting for tickets shortly after I got the email about ticket sales being open. The first few showings that night were already booked up.

We got tickets for the 8pm showing. However, the first few rows of the theater were empty. I was surprised.

Honestly it doesn't matter much to me.... I had fun and that's all that matters.

Most trips to the cinema are pleasant, but it seems to be getting more difficult to trust a review

^^ Most will already know that these two nicks are owned by Bladewire Media (Bladewire and Beerptrol). Above they are attempting to create the illusion of a consensus, which they should have realized would backfire as I like calling them out ^^

serious question, would you feel safer with a concealed carry at the theater with your family?

Bladewire 03-09-2019 10:27 PM

Notice the hate trolls can't let a few people have a thread to themselves where they're happy talking about a new movie they're interested in.

The bullshit is what I'm exposing, if you're a fanboy then go and enjoy the film, but when people are being misinformed by astroturfers, I will expose them, I don't want people tricked out of their money.

I saw it on opening night 7pm Thursday showing in IMAX which sell for $20 a ticket. It was sold out. The first showing was at 6pm in another theatre in the same Cineplex for the Marvel Fan Event which was sold out. The 9:30pm showing for IMAX had a line all the way down. I don't know if it was sold out but the fans were lining up even though the IMAX version has reserved seating.

And then there's this:

Box Office: 'Captain Marvel' Trolled The Trolls With A $455M Global Launch
https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottme.../#34fed67f113c

Still, even by Marvel's standards, Captain Marvel flew higher, further and faster than its relative competition. The Brie Larson/Samuel L. Jackson/Reggie the Cat sci-fi adventure opened with $153m in North America this weekend, which is the second-biggest solo superhero non-sequel launch behind Black Panther ($202m in 2018). It's the third-biggest March opening of all time, sans inflation, behind Batman v Superman ($166m in 2016) and Beauty and the Beast ($174m in 2017).

Wehateporn - its no secret that some people are upset because they misinterpreted Brie Larson's intent when it came to press coverage, and its no secret that some are out to trash the movie.

Regardless of what side of the fence you are on, if you are an MCU fan you should go see the movie and decide for yourself if you like it. I read critics reviews of movies but only after I see the movie. You owe it to yourself to do the same.

If you're not an MCU fan, then maybe check it out when it comes to a streaming service. That way, you will know for sure, and who knows? You might enjoy it.

By for now and have a nice day! https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-p...s-melania.html

That's a bit off subject.

I would not.... Because if I was allowed to carry into a theater, so would everyone else. I don't want a dozen people carrying firearms around me.

The vast majority of firearm owners are utterly stupid. These are weapons designed to kill people; They are not toys or status symbols. People get them for the wrong reasons. When I hear stories about a three year old kid finding Grandma's handgun in a purse and killing himself or grandma by accident, I am stunned.

If you need a firearm to protect yourself, you need to move to a better place. I am fifty years and not once have I ever needed a handgun to protect myself.

How can that be the best video you've watched all week? Youtube has some pretty good content ya know..

But anyway, think about the person who made that video. What he did was collect tweets and other messages from people who may dislike Brie Larson and a bunch of pictures of empty theatres, to re enforce the message that HE wanted you to believe: That no one is going to CM? He obviously has an axe to grind since his video is so one-sided, or, he is looking for "likes" from other people to reinforce his own beliefs. Wouldn't you say that this is at least a possibility?

Well, probably not.

As of Feb 21st, pre-sales already outpaced Wonder Woman. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/21/capt...der-woman.html

And as of March 5th, Fandango already has the most Advance Ticket Sales since Avengers: infinity War: https://comicbook.com/marvel/2019/03...-infinity-war/

So even if the movie was terrible, this weekend's movie seats still would have been packed. Only MCU fans buy movie tickets 2 months in advance to see a movie. And no matter who would say a movie sucked, MCU fans will still go to see the movie that they paid for. This is why that video and other haters don't make sense when it comes to this subject.

If you're not an MCU fan then you probably didn't read this. But if you are, just go see the movie and decide if you like it or not. It's so simple. I liked it. Didn't love it (needs more Coulson!) but I liked it. That's it.

Cheers!

It's going to make more than $150 million in the US this weekend and over $450 million worldwide.

it will end up being the 18th biggest weekend opening ever.

Somehow I don't think they are too worried about Crazy Person Wehateporn and his conspiracy theory video.

The scammers won’t be worried, they will be laughing, it is potential victims of the scam who are the ones who get burned, losing their money and time due to fake reviews

Incel alt-right Trump supporters hate Hollywood but what they hate more is Hollywood films with a strong female lead character. They tried really hard to make Captain marvel fail and they failed in doing so :1orglaugh

Yep, a certain segment of the population can't handle it if a woman says something they don't like. So, instead of just speaking with their dollars and not going to the movie like most reasonable people would, they have to try to flood the internet with fake negative reviews. Then they wonder why people don't like them.

If you will watch the video, you will see the problem is with fake positive reviews, not fake negative

Your logic falls apart at the seems because millions of people had already bought tickets months ago. Come on dude..

Anyway, look: Here's a short and honest review by me, someone you love and admire and trust.

Captain Marvel was a decent movie. Not the best of the MCU and not the worst.

What I liked:
- It was an origin story that was told in a semi non-linear fashion.
- It was a good story and the movie was well paced.
- The visual effects, especially with Nick Fury's de-aging, was perfect.

What was "ok"
- It didn't feel very 90's to me. Except for the Blockbuster video store scene and the 90's music, this could have been in any era. Like Bumblebee, both movies throw in some old music and old tech and call it a day. I was hoping to see more of the culture of the day instead of just minor references here and there. Though, the scene with the computer and the CD rom were pretty funny.

Here's what I didn't like about it:
- Brie Larson is a good actress, but she didn't seem to act much in this movie. There were a few moments here and there, but mostly she felt kind of stiff to me. And for this reason I found that I didn't care much about what might happen to her.

- Not enough Coulson.

- The movie has no style. The camera is mostly static. The actors are always in the middle of the frame doing their thing. Thor: Ragnarok and especially Captain America: The Winter Soldier, just gushed style. Ragnarok was hyper-visual and felt like they shot from the hip. Winter Soldier was so carefully edited - the Elevator scene for example - drew an incredible amount of tension and anxiety. CM lacked all of this.

So anyway, just go see the movie. Spend less time spreading others misinformation, and spend more working on your own ideas.

thirdworldxxx 03-11-2019 11:16 AM

saw it last night, the movie was great and theater was packed.

Yes, the scammers won and scammed many people to watch their film who wouldn't have done without the fake reviews, a mighty successful scamming on a grand scale :thumbsup

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people of low ability have illusory superiority and mistakenly assess their cognitive ability as greater than it is. The cognitive bias of illusory superiority comes from the inability of low-ability people to recognize their lack of ability. Without the self-awareness of metacognition, low-ability people cannot objectively evaluate their competence or incompetence.[1]
