Remember on the 1st...
The US Treasury clearly stated that in 2 months from 4 days ago that the United States will no longer have enough money for daily operations unless the national debt limit is raised. The US is already in so much debt, the debt alone is enough money to make every man woman and child on this earth rich. |

That's why the Canada will be in recession in the end of 2006. The Canadian dollar will be so high that a lot of big company will close. Check this out 2006 will not be nice in the next few months for us Canadian.

One of the reasons Canada is doing so well with our dollar is all the oil we have in Alberta. Since 9-11, fuel rates have skyrocketed to the level where it is now economically feasible for us to mine our oil sands. We've got so much oil to sell to you Americans, and it's all thanks to Iraq!
But don't worry, we're your good buddies and will gladly sell you all the oil your country wants. Won't it be nice to buy from a country that you DON'T have to bomb on a regular basis? And they say that nice guys finish last.... :evil-laug |
|
this types of news makes me shit my pants. seriously.
|
I'm in Canada :(
I want my 1.5x exchange back. |
Yup the good old US Government has fucked things all up. In the 60's the Canadian Dollar was worth 20 cents more then the American Dollar, looks like we are heading that way again.
|
this sucks
|
ya it was nice depositing 10k checks and getting 15k canadian... now its 11k or so :/

Just the opposite; export companies loves a low exchange rates because their products become cheaper to buying countries, therefor increasing their volume. Many economists believe the current exchange is being kept artificially low for just that reason. It helps balance our trade deficit. |
Yea it sucks.. before we know it, it'll be worth just as much or even more.

Economy 101 : If the dollar is strong, this means that it's going to cost MORE for the importer elsewhere in the world to buy our products. It's not going to increase the volume for our export companies. Those companies will have to lower their prices to sell the same volume, thus, losing even more profits. |
