I could not agree more. Nothing wrong with expanding your horizons but I personally believe that to shoot a niche as specific as balloons, you need to not only understand the niche but also have a slight fetish for it as well.

First off, by DEFINITION "fetish" has to do with sex. Look it up in the dictionary. At least the definition that applies to the SEX industry.

I think that a lot of people design fetish sites without really understanding fetish at all. A fetish may be fashionable for a while and then go out of the spotlight, but they don't die. Our magazine sales are growing as are the Internet sales. We seem to be going from strength to strenth. Having our best month yet on the net.

Fortunately not everyone agrees with your view that the Internet HAS to be different from magazines. If this market is to grow it must take readers from magazines, these are people who are ready, able and willing to pay for their porn.

We are now buying from another photographer to resell on the net. So that makes three independent photographers plus the four of us that shoot. Not bad for 9 months.

But as we employ 8 people we have to keep growing and by supplying the Internet with good content we are doing so.

The people who listen and then try to adapt suggestions to their projects are the people who will suceed.

Notice that Mike, Unseenworld, and myself all assist each other. We are direct competitors but we work well together at the same time. I do not know Don at all but his company has proven itself with their track record and Don does not go around shooting off his mouth about things he does not understand. For that, I respect him and his company.
