CCbill New Feature Gives Webmasters 20%+ Revenue

CCBill releases one of the Greatest New Features seen in our Industry in a while. It is called "Regional Billing"

Regional Billing is simple. Our Geo IP Signup Forms show different prices for the same product depending upon where the customer is located.

Example.
United States customers pays: $1 Dollar for a bottle of water
European Union customers pays: 1 Euro for the same bottle of water
Bottom Line is a 20+% increase in revenue to our clients.

another nice development, esp. considering the rapid decline of the value of the US dollar overseas!

:thumbsup

Very nice CCBill!

Jman 01-23-2008 09:54 PM

Hey Ron, what are you doing about Canadian Billing, you charge in cdn or you don't bother?

BTW if you ever think of branching out I can sell you cdnbill.com ;-)

Brad Mitchell 01-23-2008 09:56 PM

Thats an awesome feature.

Seperately, if something like that was implemented within the states do you think that would that be legal? IE, if you were able to geotarget poor areas with lower sale prices, would that be an acceptable business practice? Just curious.

Brad

Finike 01-23-2008 10:05 PM

Great feature!
Cascade billig is a big success!

I am sure you already know this billing technique is already being used by Dell currently. Order a computer in the US for $1000 Dollars. The same computer is available from Dell in the EU for 1000 Euros. This is not designed to target poor people but rather to allow webmasters to charge for higher costs for higher regions risk factors and delivery costs.

Bottom line is all our customers just got a 20% raise in their annual income:)

GT-Omar 01-23-2008 10:14 PM

Wow Ron GREAT news. I have been a strong proponent to this type of implementation for a while now.

What the adult industry doesn't realize is that we're the ONLY industry that sells the SAME product for the SAME price in EVERY region.

That's is unheard of in the world of business. A Toyota is not the same cost in Germany as it would be here in the states as it would be in Japan. This goes go EVERY merchandised/membership type product around the world.

I can't wait to check it out.

Brad

It works in retail in economically depressed areas around here.

I've been saying billers should do geotargeted billing since '03 when the dollar really started to dive.

Yes People are crazy if they don't translate their sites into the major languages. Our system currently GEO IP detects where the user comes from and if it is Germany the forms automatically shows in German first with Euros as the primary billing option. Our system is alot more advanced than most billing system to make sure CCbill customers make more money every single day:thumbsup

Google "big mac index" if you want some hints on how to set pricing.

Just remember you'll need to periodically review them otherwise you may end up getting less from a foreign currency than you're charging in USD!

Corleone 01-23-2008 10:44 PM

nono, I understand all of that... you're misunderstanding my question and intent completely! I understand the country by country opportunity, I think it's brilliant. My question was more detailed, perhaps even proactive as its an expansion on your new idea. I was just curious on your opinion of varying U.S. prices say not only state by state but perhaps even by county/city/etc. Uno makes a good point that we see already that brick and mortar retailers obviously have different prices in different areas. I was just curious to hear if you had considered expanding on the geo-targeting within the US or if you think that with web based sales that it would even be considered fair trade.

:thumbsup

Do you have something against Ireland?

On your flash demo, Ireland is missing from the European map (Africa is missing too, but that's not part of Europe anyway).

DutchTeenCash 01-24-2008 05:53 AM

That is great news
