Mac vs. PC (PIC)
http://www.freshbite.info/fnews_1224745936_11096.htm
As a Mac user, I found this pretty funny because it's partially true - at least before the transition to Intel. |
hahah pretty funny - yeah i really hate wires...
|

hahhaha, funy pic

You Macheads amuse me. It's like a fucking cult with you guys. Use what you use and leave the rest of us alone we don't want to join your cult. Get a life and quit worrying what I use. I'm perfectly happy with a PC. After all I am not retarded so I do not a retard proof machine at 50% mark-up. And if I want to improve my PC it's very easy to upgrade without having to buy a brand new machine.

The good thing with PCs is that.... if its got a hole.. u bet I WILL plug shit in it! |
|
I would've gotten a MacBook Pro if Apple didn't fuck up with the latest models.
|
Wires suck!!
|
haha, fanny shit
|
It's funny how many people only see the wires and completely skip the comparison on the games.

Computers are for work not for games.

with a mac it's the ability to easily and legally run OS X that you're paying for, not the hardware per se - the hardware mark up is just the cost you pay to use a vastly superior OS.

So lame... Why don't they show the actual mac? Oh wait.. because he has wires plugged into it, like my wifes!
My PC absolutely kills my wifes Mac. Now after several years of having one, I'm 100% sure I would never buy one. Other than booting up and down, no part of her Mac is even, half ass, faster than my PC. The lamest PC's at Sams Club totally smokes a Mac. Mac's are for yuppies who like neat gay looking things. |

FreeBSD + Dreamweaver + Photoshop native - you just can't beat it. |

Whats up with the 8FPS side scroller? My macbook pro can play plenty of games.
With Windows Paralell I can play all the same games my monster PC can play. |

Whats your wife running? |
Photoshop on Linux sucks, and don't even try to mention the gimp... and you can't beat DW for whipping up quick WYSIWYG layouts. If you want to use the juicy open source stuff on windoze you're either stuck with cygwin (which bites, since you're running it on top of a shitty platform) or virtualizing, in which case you may as well just use a mac...

The iMac is just stupid. The same priced PC is 2 times the power if you can hand build your boxes. Any PC for the same price has faster and larger drives, faster and more ram, about the same processor, and twice the video acceleration. Only benefit of the Mac over MC, is out of the box. I will give it up to Mac for that, I have never purchased or built a PC that in 15 minutes after opening the box, I was on the Internet. |

DW is trash and always has been. It's the tool newbies and lazy people use who don't really wish to learn how things work. Yeah, maybe if you want to "learn" how to adjust it so it does all the magic you want, great.. but it's more logical just to learn how to do it yourself. |

You seem pretty set into the notion that your PCs are better so I won't even get into it. I have had iMacs, Macbook Pros and currently have about 7 PCs at my house. Each custom built, each cost more or less 2000$ at the time of the build. My Macbook pro and iMac are my best purchases and least expensive in the long run. Most people tend to think that PCs are less expensive because of the initial buying price, but people also forget that you often have to Macs come with Pre-bundled software that isn't offered when you buy a PC. Usually you'll have to pay for Windows, anti-virus program, proper html editing progs, photo managers, etc etc etc. And alot of the times, whenever new generations of technology come around (although I admit its less frequent these days), it usually means you have to somehow upgrade your PC by buying new hardware. Lets not forget debugging time with Windows. How much time have most people spent looking for drivers to update your stuff or surfing the web for a patch so that your shit is compatible with your build. Time is also money. Anyhow, I could go on. Maybe your PCs are more powerful than the Macs, its quite possible. But in the long run, I prefer my Macs and thats just my plain simple opinion. |
