Internext Domain Name Auction!

Hi All

It?s that time again!! Submissions for the Internext Domain Name Auction are now open!! :thumbsup

At this event, there will NOT be an onsite/live domain name auction. In its place, we will be conducting an online/extended auction (powered by SnapNames) that will run for one full week starting August 5th ending August 11th. This will allow you plenty of time to review the list of names and get yourselves set up to bid on any/all names you wish to purchase!

Online Auction features:

Buyers:

Privacy! Bidders can easily use the online bidding interface to maintain privacy throughout the week long event.

Sellers:

Exposure! Sellers benefit by exposure of inventory to the largest pool of interested bidders world-wide.

For submission guidelines, please link to: http://internext-expo.com/moniker.html

To submit names please link to: http://www.moniker.com/pub/Login.sn?...kerEventId=200

Please keep in mind - submissions will close on June 24th so be sure to submit names for consideration ASAP!

If you have any additional questions/concerns feel free to contact us!

Thanks!

Probably, but with no live auction, then its harder to see a benefit in using Moniker as the sole auction model for the premium adult domains. What benefits will domain owners get? Will there be any massive marketing outside the event to make up for the loss of the "main event"?

Bossman

This IS a premiere event and will get plenty of exposure. If anything, it?s better than a live event because it?s running for 7 full days vs. the 3 hour live event that you?re used to. The online/extended auction will be globally accessible during the 7 day event.

The benefit is that they?ll receive access to qualified buyers world-wide!! The online system includes robust bidder email notification and alerts. At a live event, (obviously) this doesn?t occur. It?s 1 chance to bid or you lose!

The inventory will be promoted and included in our auction download lists, targeted safe search email alerts as well as being heavily promoted by our sales team. Additionally AVN is aggressively promoting this event on their website, in their newsletters and at the show! We are confident that this will be a kick a$$ auction!

If you have any additional concerns - hit me up. You know how to reach me :winkwink:

Yeah - what I would like to see is an online auction where the domains are divided into groups/batches of ex. 100 domains that closes every 24 hours during Internext. That way there will be a "pulse" to the auction (something new to report every day instead of those long drawn-out auctions that looses the buzz over time), and bids that do not win an auction get new chances at new domains the following day (more bids).

The auction companies have had it too easy - with long exclusive dates (100+ days is way to long - if they canīt move the domain within 30 days, then they will probably not sell it), and minimal effort trying to grab the attention of potential buyers (industry auctions need to reach out to people in the particular industry, and not just domainers!).

Bottomline - if the old format didnīt work, then its time to start over with some creativity!

HandballJim 05-26-2009 10:01 PM

Whats funny is the same domains that could not sell here for $25 will be placed in the auction for thousands of dollars.

Kevin Cunningham 05-27-2009 09:09 AM

Wow, Florida is right around the corner huh, can't wait to see you there.

Diomed 05-27-2009 09:14 AM

Hey Diomed

I would suggest submitting everything! All extensions will be reviewed/considered.

Diomed 05-28-2009 04:18 AM

So you have to have a moniker and a snap names account?

Diomed - Yes, you need both accounts. :thumbsup

HandballJim 05-28-2009 05:12 PM

Please clarify the fee's if the domain name does sell in the auction. What is monikers cut, and what is the fee if your domian does not reside at moniker. You guys should do away with this fee. :2 cents:

Jack Sparrow 05-29-2009 10:48 AM

Hope to get a message about which domains are through, so i can get the ones that arent to another auction. Is there something that speeds this process up?

Agreed. 10k each for bluemovies.com and fetishcams.com was very VERY depressing. Would have done a lot more in a live auction I think...

I agree, but I think most of the big money has dried up in this industry...many of the financial firms were also buying domains. Now these firms are just working with our tax money. I would'nt be surprised if you see more great names selling at low prices.

Jack Sparrow 05-29-2009 08:52 PM

Who should i hit up to speed up the process of aproving/disaproving the domains i submitted? Is there any way to do this?

Not that im trying to look pimp, but im just new to putting my domains on auctionlists like this.

CarlosTheGaucho 05-30-2009 04:40 AM

I have a couple domains i could sell for 25 USD and more.

:)

HandballJim - There is no fee if the name doesn't sell. If it's selected for auction and does sell, Moniker's fee is 15%.

If your name(s) are selected for auction, having them at Moniker (prior to the event) will only facilitate faster pay-outs to sellers, and provide buyers faster possession of the domain(s) they purchased. All of this can happen if/when the domain is at Moniker.

The only way Moniker can provide this type of quality service is to have access to the registrar. If your names are at Moniker, we can control domain ownership, and provide you with a safe and reliable transition. Once payment clears, the domain(s) is transferred to the new owner and payment is made to the seller.

Names sold at auction (that aren?t at Moniker) will not be guaranteed delivery within 1-3 days vs. a name that is (already) registered here. If you don?t initiate a transfer of selected names prior to the event, there will be a $100 fee/per name.

If you have any additional questions please don?t hesitate to contact me.

Mrfrisky - Once names are submitted for consideration, they go through an extensive selection process. Once the selection committee starts that selection process and we're notified which names are selected, you'll be notified!
