Farve u fucking idiot!

just blew the game for the vikings... should of just ran out of bounds and kicked the field goal. it's all on him if they loose in OT. god damn what a moron!

Axeman 01-24-2010 07:58 PM

Well its on him, Peterson, Harvin and Berrian as well. Combined 6 fumbles and 2 picks.

unleashxxx 01-24-2010 08:06 PM

true but that was already done and the game still tied at 28-28, he had the game in his hands at that point and made a bonehead decision/play. lordy

idtapdat 01-24-2010 08:06 PM

huge INT

Spunky 01-24-2010 08:11 PM

Farve should have stayed retired, fuckin choke

campimp 01-24-2010 08:22 PM

Juicy D. Links 01-24-2010 08:25 PM

Maxxx9000 01-24-2010 08:38 PM

So fucking close.. But to many fuck-ups...

CDSmith 01-24-2010 08:44 PM

All I could say when he did it was....'owtch'.

Best season of his career in a long time though. Too bad it again ends on a super low note, but if he decides to come out of "retirement" again for next year he can always try again. Vikings as a whole should be good for one more winning season like this one, maybe two or three if they can find a decent replacement QB for when old Brett finally does actually call it quits.

Whatever, on to the superbowl. Saints-Colts, should be a hell of a game.

Joshua G 01-24-2010 08:47 PM

the refs did everything they could to get farve in the super bowl. sometimes the fix is not good enough.

96ukssob 01-24-2010 08:48 PM

way to go farve... history repeats itself

bloggerz 01-24-2010 09:02 PM

sucks for him :(

Kard63 01-24-2010 09:22 PM

[QUOTE=unleashxxx;16779667it's all on him if they loose in OT[/QUOTE]

His teammates fumbled 6 times and 3 of them were lost. I don't like Favre but I have a hard time pinning this on him? Wouldn't it have been a long field goal? And wasn't Peterson supposed to be the most bad ass running back in the league by a wide margin?

The Saints played with so little discipline they almost determined the game by penalties. It isn't fun to watch but you can't blame the refs,l they didn't have a choice.

The Demon 01-24-2010 09:27 PM

My honest to g-d first impression of the last Vikings play in regular time was "Oh jesus Favre please don't throw an interception across the middle when you have 10 more yards you can run."

Really? What were the fixes during OT? Lots of reviews but were any of them questionable?

No. I didn't have to ask that. I know what happened. Maybe your lying eyes deceived you. Do you need the name of a good optometrist?

Well let's see a pass interference call that was actually PI. And a 1st down rewarded on 4th and 1 that WASN'T a 1st down. Maybe it's YOU that needs the eye doctor. Now fuck off and do a search, everyone is talking about it. EDUCATE yourself.

djswivle 01-24-2010 11:04 PM

its sucks for the favre and viking fans, but its not a shocker...

favre always fucked up a game with his across the body mid field intereceptions (packer days)...

You can blame it on many, so why not the coach? Maybe they shouldve ran it with peterson and tried the long field goal...

bleh

Spunky 01-24-2010 11:09 PM

Probably was a coach blunder, keep it on the ground and attempt a long field goal, what if's

PornMD 01-24-2010 11:10 PM

The fumbling was epic in this game...good lord. I was working on comp with it on in background and every time I look up or listen in, they fucking fumbled the ball! Just crazy.

Iron Fist 01-24-2010 11:15 PM

Good ol buttahfingers.

NetHorse 01-24-2010 11:26 PM

People keep saying fumbles like it was all on the Vikings, and that's how they gave the Saints the game. What most of you're forgetting is that's what the Saints are great at, take-aways! Most of the fumbles were forced by the Saints defense.

As for the pass interference call in OT, I agree that it was an absolute bullshit call. It pissed me off that they would make a call like that in OT during a national championship game.

As for Farve's interception pass, WOW, he is going to live with that for a long time. I hope he doesn't retire, here are some interesting stats..

His last play as a packer resulted in an interception
His last play as a jet resulted in an interception
His last play as a viking this year resulted in an interception

ahoy 01-24-2010 11:43 PM

As a long time Vikings fan, this was very heart breaking. Same damn car crash, different day.

You fucking turd, did you even watch the game? So many poor calls the last few minutes, I don't even know where to begin.

First down via forward progress on a bobbled ball? uhhh
PI on an OBVIOUS uncatchable ball. I don't exactly remember how bad it was, but didn't it damn near sail out of bounds?!?! Unreal call.
The 4th down conversion that when watching the replay, no way in hell made it across the line after hitting (Greenways?) helmet.
The "Brady rule" hit AND late hit on Favre. I don't like the rule as much as the next guy, but if its going to be a rule then call it.

Yeah, there may have been a few so-so calls that went the Vikings way earlier, but no way even close to game changing as others.

Now I am not pointing blame on the loss because of the refs, we quite obviously blew that game ourselves with an embarrassing amount of elementary turnovers. Just had to reply after reading joshgirls retarded statement. Next time make sure your TV is turned on before you comment.

pamon 01-25-2010 12:42 AM

favre is an idiot. plays great or sucks like today. easy decision to save the victory but risked it with a INT. retire and go away

LoveSandra 01-25-2010 01:37 AM

mayabong 01-25-2010 01:50 AM

You guys are retards, saints have never won anything ever, always the drunken blooper team.... and you're talkin about favre.. fuck him.... new orleans has the best fans ever cause the saints is all they have (they got the hornets a few years ago but who the hell are they) This is their year .. I dont remember the overtime call but the saints had some shitty ass calls go against them in the game get over it. Party going on right now in the NO the best party city in the US

SexMyWife 01-25-2010 01:51 AM

StaceyJo 01-25-2010 02:10 AM

Damn damn daaaaaaaaaamn!!

Fletch XXX 01-25-2010 06:15 AM

Geaux Saints, fuck Brett Favre.

We stomped his dream of being the opldest player in SUperbowl last night.

Oldest QB not player. Indy has a kicker thats older than Farve, though the question could be raised whether or not kickers are players..:)

That's the way I saw it too.

I didn't have a favorite in the game as my team was already out of the playoffs so I could sit back and watch the game objectively.

One thing that struck me was how difficult it is today to make the correct call even with all the camera angles and slow mo replays. There still is the referee's discretion and those decisions were game changing last night.

I also don't like the OT rule where the winner of the coin toss gets choice of possession. It's a HUGE advantage and I don't think it should be decided on a coin toss. Not sure how it can be changed though.

I really wish Favre would have put his head down and ran as far as he could giving his team a chance at the winning FG but it didn't happen. It was BIG mistake but I can't blame him for losing the game when he also put the team in that position to win. He got hit HARD 15 or more times and still stood in the pocket and threw some really good passes. He more than any other Viking put them in the position to win and two mental mistakes ( 12 man huddle penalty and Farves ) kept them from getting there.

It's a team sport so you can't pin it all on one player. I don't think the Saint's FG kicker won the game as much as the Saint's defense did by sending it into OT.

Owner 01-25-2010 08:08 AM

If the Vikings had won today this Superbowl would have been looked at down the road as a passing of the torch.

Favre, holding almost all the passing records would be playing against Manning, who is going to eventually break all of them... The refs royally screwed what could have been an epic Superbowl

You can't say that, the Saints could have won regardless of those few calls that went their way. Favre's decision to throw a horrible pass when he was already running into field goal position with a timeout left in the 4th is what cost them the game.

I'm sorry, but this is Favre's legacy. He's a GREAT QB, but he has trouble playing under pressure. In his 19 year year career he only has ONE SB ring. What's also funny is how he lost a national championship game exactly the same way before.

undersoul 01-25-2010 10:37 AM

so is he retiring again?
