I'm selling everything I have in the adult online marketing business.

Over the last years I focused on the Big tits niche and took quite a big chunk of it, right now income is steady at mid $xx,xxx a month.

$50,000.00 * 36 = $1,800,000.00 (If it's pulling mid $xx,xxx/mo over 3 years)
$999,999.00 / 36 (3 years) = $27,777,75/mo

Well you'd have to admit the guy has a point. He can determine the price at which he will sell. And a seller can choose whether he wants to pay the price.

There are no "rules" to how much a site is valued... only how long the buyer wants to go before he takes a profit.

Any no point did I say JD's opinion was valid or for that matter what I thought of the OPs valuation of his business. My gripe is people getting offended and all bent out of shape when someone voices an opinion on something THEY bring into the public domain. I mean come on ... what did you expect? Everyone to agree and be of the same opinion as you? Show some humility; it goes a long way ... but then again, he's leaving the business so maybe he doesn't care.

3 years earnings he's asking - which is absolutely dreamland. 12 months max, though if he has a very stable network in terms of traffic sources maybe he'll get lucky and get 18 months. i'll take your word he has a great network - he's still dreaming.

Wish I could demand 3 years income from my network... i'd seriously sell right now too...

Your right.. I would say the same if it was a dollar fifty domain names that play the cj game.. it's not. your not taking all the factors into the math.
theres paysites as well as exclusive content which used without an affiliate program.
a strong brand name which is a trademark. and alot of other factors which reflect on the price.

The 3 years income isn't something I took out of the top of my head. it's the price that came up after adding all the factors that come to the price.

maybe I was wrong in the sentence "3 years of income" so it should be: asking price is high $xxx,xxx

This "5 or 6 x monthly income" is fine for the sale of crap sites.

Nobody with a decent site or network (unless in urgent need for cash) would ever dream of selling it on that basis.

A good site or network of sites will sell for whatever a buyer will pay for it and the seller will accept for it.
