what was your first internext show?
I got my first piece in 1998, Cant recall what hotel was homebase but I know it wasnt the Venetian yet....inter-next was not yet bought by AVN.......
what I remember most about that year was the amatuer website couples and their parties. in the beginning all those indepenants were a big part of the show. so when did you make your first trip to internext? what do you recall most from that first time? M.ghost |

Florida 2004 was my first business show after graduating college.. Still my most productive show. Got to meet some of my good sponsors like spunkycash and phil flash, rode in a limo with tom and got myself an account on pichunter. Got my % raised on some paysites I was promoting..
Yep that first show was the most business I have gotten done at a show since lol. I go mostly for fun :) |
This will be my first!
I hope it will be great and successful! |

Could of been 1998 or even earlier. Went to Vegas for the AVN show and went to the Internext show as well. My pal who was selling online convinced me it was a good idea. Was a small show. Still met some people and did some biz.

1998? Was that Cybernet expo? at the Imperial Palace?
God what a shithole hotel that was....I remember all the shows back to Orlando and how there were just tables set up no booths . I feel sooooo old now. THANKS! |
Nola - ia2000

I remember when they changed the name to IA2000. I think it was the Oct. 1999 show in Miami.

Jan 2005 Vegas was mine. What an awesome time! I was actually depressed when it was over because it was so much fun and didn't know how I was going to go on with "normal" life and not seeing half naked women all over and drunk from morning till... morning.
Plus, it was my first real time in Vegas. Stopped by while on my move to LA in 2004 but only stayed 1 night in an off strip hotel, so my experience was a bit jaded Quote:

2002 Miami InterNEXT.

IA2000 in 1998 at the Monte Carlo in Vegas...when Webfather got accosted by security...I don't remember all of the details with that though...
|
1999 Miami IA 2000 was my first show! I'll never forget the cruise, what a party!

That cruise was bitching. The further you went down into the ship, the stranger it got.

That was my first show as well. Was a good time. |
Miami in 1998 (I don't even remember what it was called then) , Vegas 1999-2002
Stopped going and started spending that time down in Jamaica. Started going again in Jan. of 2008 and was in for a shock at how tiny it had gotten. Hoping to see it pick up again once Manwin owns all of you and starts sponsoring the show. lol |
Ya mine was back in the mid-90s .. Monte Carlo hotel Vegas. What an eye opener - that's when you really threw a party unlike now when it feels like an accountants convention
|
1999 was my first.
But just in the 2000's I remember back in the day my schedule being packed at internext. Invites to dinners, parties, private dinners, private parties I had to juggle and try to go to what I could turning down more than I could handle. There were just so many meetings and things people wanted me at you'd literally make an appearance for 30 minutes and would have to move to the next just so you could try to fit everything in. This year its rather sobering.. One dinner invite. (which i am really looking forward to and may be the only reason I'm going and very thankful) but thats it. No meetings, no other dinners, no party invites.. And my biz I own has never been stronger than it is today. Ive made millions in this biz and this is the biz's gathering place. Either people have forgotten who I am or the people just aren't around anymore. Man.. I can remember those old internext shows. They were pretty crazy. Not sure what to expect this time around. Ill be there but may be on the sidelines. There is always the bukkake party i guess! Im in Vegas the week before for the affialate summit and my time there is booked tight with CEO's and company owners and the like. Im in adult but the mainstream guys covet me more than the adult guys for some reason.. It will be interesting to compare and contrast the two shows going back to back like this. I expect to get tons of networking in for the affiliate summit show. Internext I don't know what to expect. Going there more for the tradition. But the people in those memories are gone. |
08 was my first year :thumbsup
I've been back every year and will be there this year too :winkwink: http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/CIMG2666.jpg |

remember a few things from that show....dj's girls....meeting rick ynot....self gratification in the window....walking back to the red roof inn at 4 am....pics are here somewhere hahahahaha..... |
January 2000, Venetian if I remember correctly.
What a circus it was, and my how things have changed. Now that I think about it, christ, that was a long time ago. |
1998 or 1999, Phoenix Forum. Might have been before the Phoenix Forum was the Phoenix Forum, and it was in a huge hotel. Great fun that was when no one knew who I was an no one had ever heard of Lightspeed Cash.
|
Hmm... it was the one in Vegas that was before the two shows in NOLA... whichever one that was... and I know it was after Orlando..
I was with SEGuru sharing a booth with Teri Weigel and her little sheltie dog... She wouldn't feed or water it so everytime she wandered off, we'd sneak some pizza to it, lol |
1999....

I also remember the Cybernet Expo at the Imperial Palace that Mike mentioned... mostly for the fact that there was about a quarter inch of standing water (I hoped it was water, anyway) on the bathroom floor of the first room they checked me into, the door didn't lock on the second room they assigned me to, and the third try yielded a room that smelled like a mixture of bad cologne, mildew and dead fish. I decided the stench of questionable origin was superior to both the unidentified commode pond and the door that wouldn't lock, and tried to spend as little time as possible in the room. Good times! |
2005 Vegas i believe
Good times :) |
