Reading some of the posts here, not just recently but for a long time. I've come to the conclusion America must be a terrible place to live.

If I lived there I'm sure I cold tough it out. If I couldn't I would flee to a third world country where I could live happy.

wrong, especially now, the only people suffering in America now are the shiftless, lazy and stupid. and yes there are plenty of those but they have only themselves to blame. you don't need to be rich at all in America to live a nice life. the ONLY people to feel some empathy for are people who had good jobs/careers who have had those jobs evaporate because of changing times and technology. those people need to re-train and adapt and while they do it they will have to take jobs that they are capable of doing right now - if that's selling shoes at Sears or being a cook at the Olive Garden, so be it.

you can buy a house, the same type of American dream home we always hear about in the post WWII boom era - in many American cities, detached small homes, many with in ground pools in the yard for between 100-150K, cities like Orlando, Florida, Phoenix,Las Vegas - there are tons of small cities and towns across the Midwest with houses for even less. air travel in the US is dirt cheap, as are hotels now - anybody with a decent job or business of their own can afford a getaway vacation. big screen TV's are cheap, computers are cheap, internet access is cheap.

big difference is poor people in other countries don't have the net, so you don't see that its everywhere..

I've been to America so many times and visited there since 1980ish. Great place to visit, NY, LV and San Francisco are two of my favorite places in the world. Mid West, like Monument Valley area is great. Just wouldn't choose to live there. The only reason I wouldn't work there is the girls I met were a put off with their attitude. Still maybe I will make another visit one day.

If you are talking about America (both North and South continents) as a place on the Earth, it's definitely fucking great! But only as a geographic place. Local laws and politics look awful for an a European guy, but the people there also make the picture. The uncovered racism and police violence just bury any hope to be there again.

I can't say that all Americans are that bad or so. Course not all of them are racists, but the USA is a still #1 country of racial crimes. Not all the US policeman are cowardly cunts, but as you can see on the video below, many of them have no other idea than stand before a car with a black guy inside (doesn't matter if he was unarmed) and discharge their guns towards his direction (doesn't matter if the fat bastards are blind like a mole and can hurt/kill accidental people)

America is great if you live in the right areas. when you live in highly populated cities like Miami, NYC, Los Angeles, there is a LOT of money in those areas then you get idiot criminals who get pissed because they don't have that money, so then they shoot people because they are stupid.

You see? This is what I"m talking about. This happens every day here. There is the constant crackle of gunfire, and I have to wrap my child in a bullet proof vest in order to go shopping. At least once a day I have to get in a shoot out just getting from my office to my car. At this moment I'm under my desk typing this, and at home we never go out except for the most needed supplies, and we sleep in the bathtub to protect us from stray rounds that come through the walls once in a while.
