Kink CEO Peter Acworth, 42, was arrested at 8:24 p.m. on February 1st and charged with one count of cocaine possession and one count of delaying arrest, according to Albie Esparaza, a San Francisco Police Department Public-Information Officer. Police were initially sent to Kink.com's massive, $14.5 million studio/dungeon in the old San Francisco Armory at 1800 Mission St. after a concerned citizen reported seeing a video on the internet of men firing guns inside the premises, Exsparaza said. Joshua Carlberg, 40, was also arrested and charged with delaying arrest.

"Basically it stemmed from social media," Esparaza said. "Someone posted a video online and this person reported it to the police, and they located an indoor shooting range, sort of a makeshift." Esparaza said police did not find enough evidence for fire-arms-related charges, though the investigation is still open. It's unclear what video spurred the investigation, or what fetish it might have spoken to. One Kink performer I talked to said that for all the weird stuff Kink puts out, he'd never heard of videos involving live firearms. Acworth is typically fastidious about keeping his torture porn this side of the law, the performer said.

I've enjoyed Kink.com's quality work for many years. Hopefully Peter will be able to put this behind him quickly. One count of "delay of arrest" sounds like bullshit. Coke is different. I spilt my time between The Bronx and Bogota. I would never think of doing blow in the US. However, Peter is welcome in my Bogota apartment anytime.

The words 'makeshift' and 'shooting range' probably should not be in the same sentence. Hope it works out for everyone...

I do not find BDSM appealing. At all. However, I know enough people in the community to know that it is all about doing consensual acts with mutual trust and respect. I'm guessing Peter can afford the best attorneys in the world. They'll argue the video was fake and they had no reason to enter and that will be that.

Ground breaking news... a guy in the porn industry shot guns and did coke. Misdemeanor charges are a news story now.

Hell, our former highschool (trade/vocational) had a gun range in the basement - they trained cadets in the place back in the day. And our local armoury has one also.

Peter will weather this, no problem. Won't change our longtime affiliation with Kink.com.

LAPD set him up:2 cents:

a. i'm sure there WAS an old shooting range in the armory
b. delay of arrest? bogus charge that a public defender can erase with ease
c. coke, hard to say it was his, good chance it was a model's or employee's. happens in EVERY business too, coke is everywhere. unless they can prove it was his, it's nothing and won't stick.


basically he has to pay $100,000 to his lawyer to make this go away

sorry it happened to him, Kink is a SOLID company with a great reputation that I have a lot of respect for.

That building is HUGE. Why would the cops even look for that if the reason for the call didn't even pan out? Was he super jacked up?

EDIT: if they did one of those cuff and search him for their own protection on his property... Well he better get off on the charges as the basis for even going in was super weak.

Delay of arrest=didn't answer the door soon enough and another stupid law cops shouldn't be able to look up in their database of millions.
