Inventor Jailed for making this video

You don't fock about with the Oil Cartel :2 cents:

"Paul was approached by members of the oil cartel that made him offers for his patent, each time he demanded a contractual provision that the invention would actually be used to help man and the planet - The potential buyers always refused -

One group took Paul to court and argued that Paul was insane, for anyone that would turn down the amount of money that he was offered was surely crazy -

Paul Pantone was falsely placed in a mental institution where he was tortured in an attempt to get him to sign over all rights to his design

He was released when an employee realized that Paul was not crazy and the crazy story that he was telling was in fact true"

wehateporn 05-28-2013 05:17 PM

There there was Stanley Meyer who was killed off due to his water powered car

Stanley Meyer died suddenly on March 21, 1998 after dining at a restaurant. His brother claimed that during a meeting with two Belgian investors in a restaurant, Meyer suddenly ran outside, saying "They poisoned me"

deltav 05-28-2013 05:22 PM

Geez dude - you just eat up any conspiracy theory based story, don't you?

Pantone invented some device with some pretty outlandish claims, got investors throw in money for this, when his creation turns out to be a bit of pseudo-science and there are no scientific studies to back up that it works (and no, anecdotes about tractors or whatever don't count, there's no hard evidence), then gets accused of defrauding his investors and cries about a Grand Conspiracy. Also, if you watch him talk for more than a few minutes it becomes clear he is indeed certifiably insane.

I've no doubt there are many many efforts by Big Oil to discourage the adoption of alternate fuel sources, but this is not one of them. Guy was a crazy quack promising more than he could deliver, got in trouble for it.

_Richard_ 05-28-2013 05:23 PM

that is a crazy story

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:%C3%86E/Paul_Pantone

but he was put in jail for securities fraud.. coincidentally, for transferring this patent to Canada in 2002 when he declared bankruptcy.

Whats strange is every link is deleted for citation.

As you well know the Oil Cartel are completely ruthless, they have many ways of taking people down.

Thanks for the Wiki link :thumbsup

1000 tractors in france running the technology count as 'hard evidence'?

The Elite families control oil and profit from oil, it props up the US $, they simply could not risk this invention getting out. :2 cents:

from what i looked at, and deltav countered with, there is several names that pops up, and several paths..

this seems very easy to either debunk or fully confirm

Free energy is not allowed

At least most of us still have free water, though Nestle are trying to put an end to that, while Monsanto are trying to take away our seeds.

From the context I assume you meant to put a "don't" in there?

If so - no, claims of this or that are not hard evidence unless there are multiple independent peer-reviewed scientific studies demonstrating & supporting it. That's how science & engineering work.

But strangely whenever someone asks for these the conspiracy folks come up with one reason or another why this didn't happen, because it doesn't fit into their near-religious worldview.

If we look through history we see the same thing happening time and time again, the same with Cancer. Oil is an industry as is Cancer, we are indoctrinated not to question the reality of the situation. :2 cents:

you believe that, or you know?

so, these ' multiple independent peer-reviewed scientific studies '

who pays for it?

Keep in mind that some of what you will have learned is fact and real science, whereas other parts will have been manipulated by powerful people who pay for the 'Research' and don't pay for other Research.

while you're at it, maybe you can explain why buddy went to jail over something that is

'a joke', and how 'justice could only be served, if the criminal was put on anti-psychotics'

sounds like a normal procedure for a 'crazy inventor inventing nothing'?

Instead of coming with things that could be possible, tell me why you produce more energy that the energy of decomposition of water (i guess H2O --> H2+ 1/2O2, since you produce oxygen), this is thermodynamically a non sense...

reminder: since it costs energy to do: H2 + 1/2 O2 --> H2O
It requires exactly the same amount of energy to do H2O--> H2+1/O2
It requires also energy to produce plasma..

So i make a plasma (that costs energy) to decompose water, then suddently for some reason i would make more energy from the hydrogen that i get ?
No, since these reactions have not a yield of 100% (the appartus can't be perfect and there is also a thermic effect that costs energy), you will lose energy instead of winning some...

(and i state here, that the appartus is something more than a combustion engine that works with oil)

Don't waste your time - they're just going to pull more nonsense out of their ass and fall back on the whole "But... but... all Science is in the pocket of Big Oil! It's all lies and only we know the truth, because some other nutters told us so!"

except, you need to think out of the box sometimes, what ever was the truth, a 100 years ago, does not necesarrily hold water now:winkwink:

Of course dude, where did I say that scientific knowledge is static? It's constantly evolving by definition. Again, in this case if there were multiple independent reviewed studies demonstrating that Pantone's invention lived up to his claims (or the "water powered car" for that matter), then well hats off to them!

But there are no such studies, instead the conspiracy crowd takes it on blind faith that it works because that narrative fits their worldview.

My bad though, I should know better than to try discussing science with conspiracy religionists on an adult webmaster board.

mikesouth 05-28-2013 06:33 PM

anyone who believes ina water powered car clearly never took even high school chemistry or Physics

could we power a car with water....YES absolutely

would we use MORE power separating the Hydrogen and Oxygen from the water than burning the fuels would produce? YES ABSOLUTELY

so is a water powered car in any way practical ABSOLUTELY NOT

you fell back on that

which is hilarious

you never explained how someone could go to jail on securities fraud, over something that is worthless.

it's an odd story, and quick google searches shows the idea is currently in use
