Shit start to 2015 ................
 

The year is starting off on the wrong foot ! Some idiot, or Idiots, broke into my store at about 4 am early in the morning .

They came thru an old skylight in the roof, totally destroying the Tbar ceiling and a lot of furniture in the process! Looks like Beirut in there !

What did they get for all this effort ? NOT MUCH, they stole a whole bunch of costume jewellery and items of not much cash convertible value, like few thousand carats of semi precious unmounted gemstones. 2 matching Wilkinson Dress swords, some Ice Master club watches, and several other items.

Clearly they were total amateurs leaving fine silver oz bar and other sterling objects, concentrating on costume necklaces.

I am offering a 1K Cash reward, for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the culprits !

I am sorry to hear of your misfortune! I think it is good that they overlooked items of real value.

brassmonkey has a good point about where the stolen items may be. Not sure if you had cameras but I would be trying to remember who might have shown recent interest in those items.

Flea markets might end up being a place to find them. I doubt most of it will end up in pawn shops.

Oddly enough JFK was once trapped in the back of my Mustang for two or three hours as we escaped from Mexico during one of the YP trips and he never mentioned owning a store....

Sorry to hear about your burglary.

New Years always seems so positive for me, then a few weeks later the hammer comes down and it's bad news for weeks.

This year is going to be different. I woke up New Years Eve morning to find my water supply line froze and cracked. Nice swimming pool and skating rink in my driveway.

Surprisingly no blood, some fingerprints and a couple of shoe impressions. As it happens cams were not on, cancelled the alarms months ago, as we changed policy about keeping much on premises. Yes I know, hindsight is 100% :winkwink:

Yes, building is fully insured, merchandise is not. I would need Jewellers Block insurance, cost is crazy and too many conditions, for them to get out of paying:winkwink:

My cousin's husbands computer store got robbed few years ago, same shit through the roof and barely took anything as well.
Funny that they spend the time to plan the robbery but don't take the time to educate themselves on the most valuable shit to steal.
At least it happened in the beginning of the year so plenty of time to swing 2015 to the favorable side. :2 cents:

Sorry to hear about that my friend... but you know what? The thief's year is off to a much worse start than yours. You can replace what was stolen and fix up the damage. The thief's life on the other hand is entirely fucked. Sure he'll sell what he took and pocket the cash, but it won't last him for more than a few days before he has to steal again. Sooner or later he'll get caught and end up in jail and his life will be shit.

Sorry it had to happen to you - I hope no one was hurt and no one's nerves were rattled too much on your site.

You got pics of what was stolen that you can send to other pawn shops? Bet they try to sell them down the street from you.

Get the money to rebuild, don't let them control you to shut down. Just rebuild and keep an ear for any news about your stuff.
