I don't understand this either. I was taught as a kid that when pulled over you do not move around in the car, take your keys out of the ignition, and put both hands on the steering wheel.

This recent shooting... Not even caring. A gun was discovered at the scene, the passenger was told not to move, and got out of the car. Don't give me any of this "he had his hands up" bullshit. He was told not to move and instead exited the car. It even looks like the officer tried to prevent him from opening the car door.

Would you say that if a friend or family member had their hands up but didn't follow directions completely? You don't deserve to die for not doing what a cop says, even if you're being hard headed. How is a body full of bullets the proper response for standing there with your hands up? Cops don't have the right to kill you because they feel slightly threatened.

You have a very selective interpretation of the facts

1) They HAD A GUN
2) The officer saw him reaching for the gun
3) The officer was telling him time and time again to stop reaching for it and put his hands up
4) The officer was warning him that if he didn't stop and show him his hands, he'd get shot
5) The guy is clearly refusing to comply with any of the officers instructions
6) The guy jumps out of the car for no reason (hands up is irrelevant) and moves towards the officer

OH... OH FUCKING YEAH... THATS RIGHT... THERE WAS SOMETHING ELSE..

7) The officers knew who he was and were addressing him by name

AND FUCKING NUMBER 8

8) The guy in addition to the other items on his criminal record, had a already served time in prison for shooting at a cop


So yeah... if my friend or family member was this fucking stupid, this much of a piece of shit and just a piece of human garbage like this guy who was clearly begging for a confrontation with an officer pointing a gun at him... then out of respect for the rest of the world, i'd understand the need to cull him from the gene pool.

First I try "can you please cut me a break just this one time. My job depends on me having a clean driving record."(total lie of course but it sometimes works)

If that does not work then I just hand over my DL and registration and insurance and do not make any other comments.

Then I get out of the ticket in court.

This is true. I just drove past two Dunkin Donuts and a Tim Hortons. All three had multiple cops in the parking lot.

Actually, the cop was fucking way over reacting about the gun. People are allowed to own guns, that cop was acting like the guy was pointing the gun at his head. That cop should of been fired soon as the video was seen and charged with murder.

Notice the other cop was not acting like that..it was only the one whom freaked out and shot the guy. I'm just amazed the driver was able to keep his cool after having the guy get shot next to him.

The cop was yelling at the guy and freaking out. The cop was not in control of his own behavior and had a gun drawn. You would probably be scared to do anything too..

The guy was not reaching for the gun and he clearly had his hands up. Fuck his hands were up when he got shot. That cop was freaking the fuck out for no reason. Just because the guy had a gun doesn't mean he needed to be shot. Millions of Americans own and carry guns.
