As I wrote in other post, I fund this e-mail from support :

They need to optimize it for mobile asap.
|
I guess keep sending hits anyway because ???????
|
Wtf? Over 50% of the traffic i send there is mobile, 1000 uniques a day. So do you say it is not tagged with my affiliaye code?

This is crazy if true, and not just a misunderstanding.
Cookies work the same on mobile browsers as on PCs. If this is true, they actually had to write EXTRA LINES OF CODE intentionally to prevent cookies to be stored on mobiles. Which is called SHAVING. And as others pointed out about the percentage of mobile traffic these days, it could be 50%. |
Pretty big oversight if true :\
|
The hits are recorded in the stats before redirecting to mobile cb where no cookie is saved.
I wonder if there's anyway to retroactively re-attach customers to affiliates, at least those who still have the cookie on the main domain. Also, the following shows a custom 404 with a link to m.chaturbate.com (with no aff ID) Code:
https://m.chaturbate.com/affiliates/in/?track=default&tour=hr8m&campaign=xxx Try it for yourself: in Chrome open the Developer Tools, enter Mobile mode, navigate to your affiliate link, go to Application > Cookies to see what has been saved. |
Then don't promote it. They even have traffic leaks (banners) on their site. Screw it. Try BongaCash instead. Their website and whitelabels are translated in many languages, geo targeted, accepting various payment methods, even local ones. They even let you place your own banners from EroAdvertising, JuicyAds, ITMCash or even to upload your own banners and point an url for them. Good luck! :thumbsup

Ok well, if cookies are set after the redirect, they didn't remove lines of code. They just haven't added the code to place cookies to the mobile backend.
Regardless, this is not wizardry, it's a simple thing. They can use the same code for storing the cookies on the mobile site as on desktops. They should not have launched a mobile version at all without that there. |
Bump for justice, or pressure to get this going.

Is all mobile traffic redirected to the mobile version of chaturbate? I just got a new US registration on a mobile device, registered today and spent 125.98$ of tokens.

I promote white labels on my own domains, this cookie issue doesn't seem to apply there, because there's no redirection in that case for sure. |

A link. Tour name "Your Chat Room (homepage if you're offline)". I use a different tracking id for mobile devices. A tablet is a mobile device for me. |

Most mobile devices aren't tablets, so it's not the solution. It's just that you don't lose the tablet signups at least. Do you know the type of the mobile device? That might get you closer to the reason. |

I think there's a misunderstood here... I'm sending mobile traffic and I'm getting registered users and sales too. What is not ready for affiliates yet is the mobile version of the website, but if you send mobile traffic you will get your sales

However. If the guy closes his browser, and opens it a few hours later, and types in "www.chaturbate.com", they won't be able to tie him to you unless there is a cookie saved in his browser. |
OK, I got you... And why don't promote whitelabel instead of chaturbate directly? You will be sure the user will sign up under your ID with whitelabel
|
go to your whitelabel, scroll all the way down.
there is a link "powered by ..." hover over it to check the campaign ID (which is your affiliate ID) this ID isn't mine. EDIT: now I think about it, it could be that we all have 1 campaign ID per domain. so the campaign ID is not the affiliate ID. It is a one to many relationshop Sorry for the confusion. I'm off to bed ... |
Does molbile register for an api site?

Plus chaturbate is all over the white labels. It is on the video in the upper right hand corner. People quickly realize they are on chaturbate instead of the white label. Which is fine, if you get to retain the revshare when the customer switches over to the main site. But who knows if this is the case? If you are making any money, continue with what you are doing. But you should go mainstream. Where you can control your inventory and income streams. Become as vertically integrated as you can get. Lost the middle man hat. Make others depend on you. Chaturbate is pinned at the top of all the get rich quick sites now. They are losing their need for salesmen. |
since ten days ago my sign ups suddenly dropped as well

What you say makes sense to me, but then when I look at Joker's stats (who uses whitelabels from what he said) I'm kinda confused. Also, if mobile traffic is lost when using the promo tools' links, isn't the best bet to use the wl? At the end of the day it boils down to who wins the cookie: does anyone know how this really works? I received an email from support saying that if a user goes to my wl then signs up on to cb he is gonna be mine, but since cookies are domain based I don't see how that's done. Similarly, when a user goes to the default affiliate link, a cookie is saved against chaturbate.com, a visit is counted in the dashboard and then there is a 302 redirect to m.chaturbate.com where no cookie seems to be saved: how do they bind the affiliate to the customer? |
I tried to inject an affiliate cookie with a 1x1 iframe to my own room. Then you can use the promo tools links where visitors can click on and redirect to the mobile version of chaturbate. But it doesn't seem to work. It only works when visitors navigate back to the desktop version of chaturbate.
|
So I signed up on my phone, made sure I went straight to my site and followed my link with campaign ID and Tracker ID set and guess what?
It didn't show in my stats.... |
So it's safe to say chaturbate is shaving mobile signups
This needs to be stopped and brought to there attention by everybody effected, I have sent many emails with no reply back |
There are Chaturbate folks on gfy, it would be nice to have one of them chime in on this.
I am not sure "mobile is not supported for affiliates yet" is an acceptable answer. Either it is not ready and you don't take the traffic from affiliates or it is ready and then you pay the commissions. |
Bump for an answer :thumbsup
|
This is a big issue since almost 60% of all traffic is coming from mobile devices
