This is ridiculous.

1) The first point is about "defrauding his bank". I watched the entire testimony; I don't recall any discussion about defrauding his bank. He was asked if the banks had ever lost money on any of his loans, and that he never declared bankruptcy.

In the letter it says "Cohen pleaded guilty to five counts of income tax evasion, one count of making false statements to a bank, one count of excessive campaign contribution, and one count of making a false statement to Congress". He was not charged with defrauding a bank.

2) Then there is the issue about if he wanted a job in the White House. During his testimony Cohen said he did not want a job in the White House. Again this is some bullshit. The letter says "Cohen privately told friends and colleagues, including in seized text messages, that he expected to be given a prominent role in the new administration". He did not say he WANTED a job in the White House, or wanted to work in the White House. My wife expects I will demand sex from her tonight, but that doesn't mean she WANTS to have sex.

3) The twitter account about "Women for Cohen". During testimony Cohen said he did not set that account up. The owner of RedFinch told the Wall Street Journal "Mr. Cohen asked Mr. Gauger to set up the account". And? If I bring my car into the shop and say "fix my car".... This means I physically did not put a wrench to my car, but instead "directed" someone to do it for me. Cohen said he did not set that account up, meaning he did not physically create the Twitter account. Cohen might have directed someone to do this, but he did not actually set up the acccount.

4) The Truth In Testomony form - which was filled out yesterday morning when it was given to him - did not report any "contracts with foreign government entities". According to Cohen's attorneys, he did not do any contract work for "foreign government entities". He worked for a bank and an airline. The bank might be partially owned by a foreign government, but I surely wouldn't consider that a foreign government entity. It's a bank. It's not run by the government, it's a private company. A foreign government might own 80% of the bank, but it's not a government entiy.

5) This is so stupid... Cohen said he was "a good attorney" but then violated the law. Seriously?

6) Seriously?

All of these are shaky ground, so.. whatever.

But hey... Any time we get to investigate a Republican, let's do it. He worked for a Republican President as his personal attorney, he worked on Trump's campaign, AND if that's not enough he was a high ranking official on the RNC... SO yes, let's investigate him some more. A lot more. Democrats don't care what happens to him; he's already going to prison... And a further investigation into him might cause yet MORE problems for Trump so.... Great, let's look into these issues even more.

And then let's call Cohen back to testify again to clear this all up! LOL.

Trump just "directed" his lawyer to do a NDA with Stormy and paid for it out of his own pocket as proven by evidence provided by Cohen

It's all BS and standard operating procedure for the corrupt Republicans. They cant argue against the evidence so instead they try to attack the leakers, the whistleblowers or in this case people testifying on what they know.

It's very well known that lawyers defend with evidence if they have evidence to support their case. If they have no evidence they attack those giving testimony.

Its obvious the Republicans have absolutely nothing. Hence the reason they always attack the person..

They are chasing headlines and trying to pander to their base ..

What evidence?

Standard procedure? Like coaching a witness? Allowing Clinton's buddy Lanny Davis to put on the spectacle?

Again, these aren't false statements. Is this really the way the Republicans want to play this?

Their proof that Cohen WANTED to work in the White House is texts that say he "expected" (not wanted, expected) to be offered a job in the White House. He didn't WANT a job in the White House, but instead he expected to be offered a job - which perhaps he would have refused because he wanted to continue on as his personal attorney... In NYC....

Then they mention two tweets.... One form a "former NYC detective who "knew Cohen for years" and someone who claims to be a Pastor who knew that Cohen "begged for a job in the White House".

This is the standard the Republican party is going to use? They claim Cohen "wanted" the job because of texts that don't say "wanted" but instead say "expected", and two random tweets from people they haven't vetted?

Odd how Republicans suddenly want to investigate people. Very odd.

By all means, let's investigate this further. In fact, let's appoint a special prosecutor to investigate further. Let's give that special prosecutor two years to investigate Cohen and every dirty rotten thing he has ever done. Let's investigate everything he ever did for Trump.

Please let's investigate.

We can start with some of his recent work. Let's start with his job as deputy finance chairman of the Republican National Committee. Let's find out if he did anything dirty there. Then we can talk about his time on the Trump campaign.

Let's call him in to testify again. Please.

Smoke and mirrors ! until the next revelation, Oh wait it just happened, its just come to light that last year Chump overruled everyone and told the FBI to give his son-in-law top security clearance. Memo's have surfaced, yet he previously denied having anything to do with security clearances for his family !

The entire reason he's coming back, is because he gave them so much new information on Trump. This is why Republicans wouldn't bring any real witnesses like Cohen in to testify when they had control of the House..because they tried to hide it all.

Again, it's a matter of semantics... He wasn't charged with fraud, he was charged with making false statements. It seems the Muller investigation, the FBI, and the DOJ decided Cohen did not commit fraud...

Let's just accept this for what it is... This is an attempt by the Republican party to make Cohen look bad. They don't need to do this. Cohen is a liar, a conman, a criminal, and most likely much worse. Cohen is going to prison, and there is a good chance he will fact yet more charges. The Democrats don't give a shit what happens to him. So far as the Democrats are concerned, Cohen is part of the Trump Campaign, The Trump Organization, and the Republican Party (he had an official position in the Republican party).

The Republican party can do everything they want to make him look bad. He is one of them, one of the Republican party. Nail him to the cross all you want.

They want to investigate and file more charges? This is outstanding news. For some reason, after having dozens of investigations into Hillary Clinton, doesn't want to have any investigations. They want to investigate these five or six items..... Yes, by all means, let's investigate all of these items. Cohen begged for a job in the White House? Let's see what emails Cohen sent Trump Jr "begging for a job" and let's see what turns up. Who else did Cohen talk to about this? Let's investigate them too and put them on oath. Did Cohen commit fraud? Let's investigate his finances closer and dig deeper and see what else Cohen was into. Did Trump send Cohen other checks for other things that he did?

Yes, by all means.... Let's investigate Trump's personal attorney of over a decade some more. LOL.

TheSquealer 03-01-2019 12:42 PM

convicted liar and con artist lies repeatedly during testimony against Trump,... Dems completely incredulous ...

Liar says on the record that his loyalty to Trump cost him everything, Dems applaud on cue,... in spite of the fact that all of his crimes that he's going to prison for, had nothing to do with Trump and were done solely for his own personal gain.

LOL

What's really happening here is the Republicans are losing control and have no way of putting a lid on this. They have no idea what to do, and they have plain to contain this. At the same time there is a huge disconnect between Trump and the Trump Administration and the rank and file of the Republican party. The Trump team doesn't trust anyone outside of their little circle, and they are unable to fully work with the Republican party.

God only knows what Cohen testified about behind closed doors. God only knows what more Congress has to investigate.

And the Republicans want to investigate more. LOL. Great, investigate more. Let's find out what else Cohen did for Trump, and what other laws they violated.
