Trump suggests Paris firefighters need "flying water tankers" to fight blaze at Notre Dame

President Trump just tweeted about the fire at the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, France, and suggested "flying water tankers" could help put it out.

"Must act quickly!" Trump tweeted.

Few weeks back I read about churches being torched all over France. It was not very publicized. First thing I thought of at the time was Notre Dame.

And here we are.

There have been church fires in France going on for a while now All unreported in MSM of course.

If you look at the pictures there was scaffolding all around it, they were obviously doing repairs to the building. Most likely a construction fire.. Lets not fuel the conspiracy nuts....

While there was construction going on it was still open for biz at the time.

Trump says they should fly some water tankers over it. I guess he thinks you can fill them up in the seine :2 cents:

An icon of Paris. The island it is on, Île de la Cité, is where the Parisi and later the Merovingians lived before they grew to the banks. This cathedral was begun 1000 years ago and held numerous priceless relics (I hope they got some out). Really it is the heart of Paris, literally and spiritually. An immeasurable loss.

They were talking about the fire on the radio for more than 10 minutes before the first water was applied. They were wondering where air support was also.

It's right next to a river. Yet no helicopters dropping water yet.

That sucks. It's a great loss.
