Got my Paxum Union Pay Card

Activated it, loaded it and withdrew money from the ATM.

I was only able to get $500 out at one time. I thought the limits were higher for Union Pay but perhaps I misunderstood.

At least it's working and we can withdraw cash again.

Congratulations.

pornguy 03-01-2020 07:18 PM

Mine shows as shipped. We shall see.

Denny 03-02-2020 01:42 AM

What's the ATM transaction fee when withdrawing in currency other than USD? For Trucash card it was 2,5%, for Wirecard it's 3%. Unionpay card?

Dreamteam 03-02-2020 03:57 AM

Weird ... paxum.com came with the announcement of the new unionpay cards on 6 February 2020

I have "successfully" requested a card on February 7, 2020, but since that day the newly requested card is on "PENDING".

We are today March 3, 2020.

Mine is "pending" since Feb 05 but I have Paxum Wirecard so I thought it's because they are first issuing them to those who don't have any card.

Denny, ... I don't have a paxum card anymore since the "original" cards stopped working.

Not sure yet.

As for fees so far I am paying (or have paid)

- $45 for the yearly card fee. (Charged as soon as I activated it).
- $1 to change the PIN
- $2 ATM withdrawal fee (+ The local bank machine takes $3)
- $0.25 for ATM decline fee (Insufficient funds on first attempt although it should have said that the amount I am asking for exceeds my limit as I had sufficient funds).
- $0.25 to load the card.

So for me it's about $5 to make a withdrawal of $500. That's why I was hoping the limit would be $1000.

nikki99 03-02-2020 12:09 PM

good news :)

Thanks for the quote.

I believe what you just quoted is what Paxum sent out but that doesn't seem to be accurate for me anyway.

For example, my decline fee was $0.25 and not $0.50

My ATM withdrawal limit was $500. I tried to withdraw $1000 Canadian which would have been only $700+ US dollars (card loaded to over $1000US) but the ATM declined my request.

Maybe Ruth can chime in.

Let me double check on the limits. It's $3,000 USD per day, but I don't know if the per transaction limit differs.

The ATM for what i know may have a limit per transaction you can withdraw; this could be the why you could have been limited ?

The store where is the ATM make money too Splitting the Fee's with the ATM owner.
The more Transaction needed to take money out the more Transaction fee they are getting.

Here an exemple : some bar around where i live, if you use the ATM you can withdraw only $200 - $300 per transaction.

BTW I did Tried my card today at a TD bank ATM at the mac's/ Circle K store. Worked like a charm got my funds.

zyrcon 03-03-2020 01:07 PM

I just tried the card withdrawing euros and they charged me 4 € fee. Not sure if is due the bank, tomorrow I will try in a different bank, but I think is a bit high...

mopek1 03-06-2020 07:36 AM

So I went to the ATM again.

I tried withdrawing $1000 and I got a decline message saying that the amount requested exceeds my withdrawal limit. So I tried at $500 and was successful.

So it seems that Paxum has an ATM daily withdrawal limit of $500. I thought I read somewhere that the limits were $1000.

Also, this is my second time withdrawing at this machine. The first time they charged $3.00 and this second time was $3.50 ? Not sure what this bank is doing.

Anyway, just so you know.

Maybe try to withdraw 2 x $500? Daily ATM withdrawal limit should be $3,000.00 for Union Pay card. Not sure if you can withdraw $3,000 in one transaction or if there is a lower limit per transaction ($500?).

Yeah, I'd like to know that too. Ruth said she was going to double check the limits and get back to us so I hope she posts here when she does.

Chris 03-06-2020 11:34 AM

the ATM daily limit is as listed
if you are getting a "limit" per transaction / day that is from the ATM you are using - not us.

...

I assume no limit per withdrawal attempt? Meaning we can withdraw the full $3000 in one attempt?

Yes you should be able to withdraw in one attempt, but it also depends on the limits the machine you're using has in place. Many ATMs have their own withdrawal limits.

Not if you live in the Netherlands... I need to drive to Germany and browse for ATM who support this card. EFT is cheaper. Also.. could not find a online store within the EU who accepts this card...

How to fund a Paxum account with bank wire? I got a message from support asking me for an "invoice" and "contract". This never happened before.

All i need is to fund the account to be able to pay webmasters for random services (coding, hosting, advertising, sem/seo marketing etc).

Ask Ruth at [email protected]

That's what I am experiencing too.

One time withdrawal limit of $500.

I haven't yet tried withdrawing 2X$500 within minutes of each other. I'll try that soon.

JM-cj 03-16-2020 09:46 AM

And finaly:
ATM withdrawal - $2 USD + 1.5% :)
+ account ban after 4+ transactions :(

ladida 03-17-2020 04:43 AM

500 limit for single withdrawal is what i'm seeing as well. Can do more then 1. Around 3% difference from mid market rate conversion is what i'm seeing. Pretty standard and how it was always with these cards.

I'm going to try 2 X $500 withdrawals today, one right after the other and report back.

gorillaz_ 03-17-2020 06:49 AM

lol, they don't know the card limit ? this mean to spend the 3k daily limit with atm,you pay 18% currency conversion ?

mopek1 03-17-2020 08:23 AM

Okay.

Just did 2 withdrawals in a row (within 1 minute of each other) for $500 each.

Can't do over $500 per transaction.
