Vodka drinkers. What's your vodka of choice ??
Curious if there's any good ones i'm missing out on...
:) |
Drink Absolut
|
Got a bottle of Belvedere waiting to pop, have high hopes for it, good friend recommended it. Anyone had it?
|
Siberskaya, Golden Ring. I also like as a day to day Riga which, of course is from Latvia. French vodka can be OK, but I think I still prefer Russian

Bought this one today - Vodka "Air". The label says "you drink as you breathe" :upsidedow https://xn--80aai3bzbzb.xn--p1ai/wp-...-vozduh-32.jpg P.S. As about Russian vs Polish vodka, so you won't notice any difference. Maybe 100 years ago they were real different, because classic Polish vodka made of potato alcohol, while Russian one made of wheat. However, today all alcohol is highly refined and extremely clean, so it has no tinge of the raw it was made of. |
Believe it or not. Try Smirnoff Vodka spicy Tamarindo
|
My 'Choice' is to simply drink as much as possible, as fast as possible...

I usually buy Absolut, Russian Standard or Finlandia.. |
No Grey Goose drinkers here ?
I have a shitload of it at home. Wasn't to fussed to begin with but now when someone gives me Smirnoff i notice the difference (not in a good way) right away... |

Somewhere 20 years ago it was possible to buy a counterfeit Vodka and get poisoned. Now it's almost impossible. Each bottle has its own unique QR code in the federal alcohol accounting system. This number can be checked in the official base with a regular mobile phone. Thus, a same bottle can't be sold twice through the store's cashier. |
Isn't all vodka basically the same?
But, to be pretentious and "cool" when out ordering at a bar it's this, in order: 1. Grey Goose 2. Finlandia (best for martinis) 3. Absolut Quote:

I drink Costco's finest Kirkland brand of vodka and that's that.

BTW, just checked the bottle I bought yesterday. The mobile app showed me the label, the factory it was produced, the exact address of the grocery it was bought, the exact time of purchase, the check number, cashier number and cashier shift number.
So here is a question to my foreign сolleagues. Do you have some kind of similar Sate control systems for alcohol? I mean something to prevent accidents like this. |

BTW, in Russia you are also free to make your own vodka. There are many shops that sell special alcohol machines, but for your own consumption only. You can't sell it if you have no certified manufacture and a special license. |

But I just don't drink - that much - "hangover quantities" |
I don't drink vodka.
It kind of sucks. But I do drink rakija, rum, cognac, gin. also some true/natural herbal vodkas can be decent. |

I normally drink Pinnacle but sometimes I'll buy some Grey Goose. I used to drink Smirnoff but I can't stand that brand anymore |
Fun fact: Tequila is the only liquor that ages in the bottle. Buy some cheap stuff and put it in your closet for 20 years and you will have gourmet Margaritas.
