hottoddy 06-10-2003 09:55 PM

I'm guessing that's done with some kind of aftermarket filter.

foe 06-10-2003 09:56 PM

no everything is done in photoshop without filters

PhillipB 06-10-2003 09:59 PM

It's not a filter. That took some clever artistry. You can tell with the wheels.

mule 06-10-2003 10:02 PM

Well, first of oll, don't do it in photoshop

I doubt it. That shit's vectorised, probaby in Freehand or something similar. Then imported back into PS and pasted in.

optikalz 06-10-2003 10:12 PM

that is sweet

chodadog 06-10-2003 10:13 PM

If i was going to do that, i'd use a tablet/pen. I'd trace the outline of the car on a new layer, and fill each layer with the desired colour. Go over it and add detail where needed. Simple.

PostWhore 06-10-2003 10:14 PM

ok i got psd files of all those pictures.
but they don't tell me much though
if anyone interested just tell me i'll upload them

Yep, that's also a way :)

chodadog 06-10-2003 10:15 PM

Note: That's how i'd do it. I have no idea how the person actually did it.

asuna 06-10-2003 10:52 PM

god forbid someone can fucking trace the lines with a digipad thing and have some actual drawing skill without having to rely upon a fucking filter.

It IS possible for a human to draw. Look at some illustration stuff pre computer age.

damn how did you guess? :winkwink: :1orglaugh

pornJester 06-10-2003 11:20 PM

that doesn't look like any kind of filter, most likely custom work by someone with artistic skill. :2 cents:

My guess is that it wasn't completely done in Photoshop .. but it was also played with in Illustrator .. A friend of mine uses illustrater to animate/draw on her PC

How many pics do you need?
I ll make you a good price
It s just Photoshop but its several filters one after another and some of them are not original package filters.
Check the logo on www.hairydivas.com to see one of my dolls.

goBigtime 06-11-2003 12:51 AM

Yeah they are traced on a new layer & finished by hand no doubt.

OsirisID 06-11-2003 12:55 AM

I'm picking apart the PSDs right now.. It could have definitely been done in Photoshop... In fact, looking at the PSDs I can do it..

Everything is on a seperate layer...
I would guess it was done in this order: First they extracted the car from the background and pasted it back in place. Secondly they drew outlines of the car and details on a seperate layers.. Highlights, Shadows etc... etc..

I messed around with the colors a bit to show what I'm talking about...
