With the recent news of all the past scams cmming out now...

The big earnings touted since even 2000, ya think that without the scam numbers being added to the total take that this industry makes every year is over rated?

How much does Legit biz in the industry make without the scam's being added?

I must say if ya think about it, not only is this industry over saturated it is most definatly over rated in the "Lucrative" department.
The hype surrounding the wealth it generates is clearly a farce.

So what ya think the numbers are now?
IBILL is toast, the Mobsters are gettin locked down, processing is becomming a real bitch even for consumers...

I honestly think there is far to much hype in this biz when it comes to the subject of wealth being generated from it.

I read recently that Vivid grosses 100 + million a year. Of course internet sales would exceed that easily. Although it seems it would much more difficult to calculate net sales.

I am sorry maybe 100 Million a year for A COMPANY is huge, but think about other industries.

You can look at Mainstream SONY trading at 37 per share for example Grossing over 849 Million if you wanna bring out heavy weight names.

A single Mainstream Movie nets Upt 25 Million in the first month...

I think its inflated and over saturated.

Crunching some numbers here and there is all.

If you're going to compare the size of two companies, dont use share prices (that is meaningless). Your argument is better served to say that Playboy Enterprises Inc (PLA) has a market capitlization of less than $0.5 billion compared to Sony Corp (SNE) which has a market cap of approx. $35 billion.

As for heavyweights, I always prefer to bring out General Electric (GE), valued at over $382 billion. :winkwink:

I will volenteer my own info as a designer and sme traffic.
The early day I was capping out over 320K+ a year.
Circa 97-99.

Now its far less. Drastically less.
I am talking like less than 120K.

I got indicators telling me to get the fuck out of this biz its becomming a liability while not earning enough to be worth while.

I got great clients and shit but still...

You know that there are single affiliates out there who push more than 100 joins / day? Would say that 70 is a VERY low number...

The people that make the big money in porn arent the vivids and hustlers its the Gm's and Att's and the cable companies. All the money none of the risk
