my wife and I have no intention of having kids...and this is an awesome form of birth control and 100% reversible if we ever change our mind

actually, it's principally IRREVERSIBLE, but in some cases it's possible to get it undone.

i am getting what is called the VAS CLIP, instead of snipping nowadays, they put a clamp on there...and if you decide you want it reversed, you go in and they take the clamps off...same percentage of success, but without snipping

No, the operation is done with the intention of not ever reversing it. Even with the clip, it's definitely not reversible in 100% of cases.

my wife has undergone 2 surgeries for endometriosis...birth control pills play havoc on her internal organs and usually make the problem worse

First of all nowadays its almost competely reverseable. Also my dad got a vesectomy in the ealry 70's and when he married my step-mom he got it reversed in the early 80's and I have a 21 year old brother as proof vasectomies CAN in fact be reversed. Even ones done way back then.

exactly, I have never understood why people are doing this, especially when you see what percentage comes back for a vaso-vasostomy (reversing it)

You made it sound very simple. Sorry to hear about the situation, but there are many things to try before doing that. What about birth control patches? Is she reacting to the hormones or specifically to the pills?

It CAN, but it's definitely not "completely reversible" or "guaranteed". If you compare the success rates to other kinds of surgery, the outcome is actually very poor.

there was one that was in trial for the fda, but it caused something bad to happen, i think permanent sterilization

read the above posts...she has a heart condition called Wolff Parkinsons White syndrome....almost every heart doctor has told her she should never try and have kids, it would probably mean caridiac arrest if she tried
