Make no mistake either. There's HOT sauce that's just hot for the sake of being hot, and there's hot sauce that TASTES GOOD.

I'll eat hot sauce that tastes good till the end of time.

teg0 06-29-2006 09:20 AM

Siracha is good stuff, but for some reason I love Cholula, even though it isn't that hot.

Yeah Cholula is good stuff! I keep a bottle of that, a bottle of RedHot, and a bottle of "Texas Pete" on hand.

bump for Cholula.

czarina 06-29-2006 09:43 AM

I like the Hooters wing sauce. They sell it at Publix supermarkets for like $3.95 a bottle.

wiggitywack 06-29-2006 09:43 AM

both Siracha & Cholula...I am totally addicted to both

Have you tried Sambal Oelek? A buddy told me it makes Siracha taste like Asian ketcup from what I hear. In other words it puts Siracha to shame.

I havent tried it yet though. Has anybody tried it?

I've tried Franck's, Red Rooster, Cholula, and Louisiana hot sauces. Found them to be not hot enough for me. From time to time I do find a good habanero extract, but my usual staple is Tabasco.

I like to drizzle it on my pizza. :D

Mike_AWP 06-29-2006 10:03 AM

tabasco..:)

B O B 06-29-2006 10:09 AM

if you're using that much perhaps you should consider using something hotter.
