Honey, you never ASKED anyone to choose sides, but in a situation like this, oftentimes people have no choice. It affeccts business no matter which way you go, and it turns into a popularity contest that isn't focused on business anymore, it's all about the shit that's slung. You are a big enough man to rise above bullshit when someone says shit about you that isn't true. There is no neccessity to carry it anywhere beyond that... you made your point.

Ok, yes I understand that. Like I say Joe had his go at me several times over the years too... but, sometimes people can change, I prefer to give people the benifit of the doubt. How much more gratifying is it to see someone dig their own grave than have people looking at you like you're crazy because you're dancing on it in a chickensuit?

I know you are, it's part of your charm sweetie. Joe and I kind of silently buried the hatchet over the years I think because to be honest, we both got tired of fighting about it. Besides, you know me I'm the furthest thing from someone who creates drama and bs on the boards, and without something fuelling the fire, it tends to die out. In fact, I look forward to meeting him finally in person in Florida over a drink and a chat.

The future holds it's secrets close and I don't know what it holds, but going forward on a positive note is always my solution. Besides, I'm bound by the threefold rule, and in my life I have always found that it IS true, what you send out comes back to you. Joe has his path, you have yours.

It actually shows that Joe's wife, lawyer and partners are the only ones who can protect him from himself. He was the one who wanted this fight. Ant had the common sense to make it NOT a street fight but instead have some rules. Joe was still game until it seems everyone around him had to show him he had nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Perhaps that's true. Perhaps Joe had an epiphany. Perhaps he will do the same thing again in a month, day, year, whenever. I don't know and honestly I hope Joe has seen the light. I have seem some pretty amazing and dramatic changes in people in the business over my 8ish years in it. And then I have seen people who claim to make changes but fall right back into old patterns. Their actions always speak for themselves, and there are always reprecussions. Personally I just hate to see the whole thing raised to the next level AGAIN over what.. proving a point? You know as well as I do Peaches that these situations have a way of biting ALL involved parties in the ass. I just hate to think it happening in this one.

Besides, it's like punishing a child twice for the same crime. We all know the history, and anybody who doesn't has obviously been living in a cardboard box with their head in the sand the last few years. however, that being said, isn't it better to let people's actions/words speak for themselves, and perhaps give them an opportunity to develop as a person?
