Aikido Grand Master Vs MMA Fighter

Let me preface this by saying that the Aikido Kiai Master has this video where he's knocking out students left and right with a "NO TOUCH" fighting style.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=tib2Urowsdc&NR

The Aikido Master also says he has a 200-0 wins MMA/Vale Tudo, and that he bets 5 grand he can beat any MMA fighter.

The beginning of this video has them signing the contracts. See what happens to Kiai Master Ryukerin

https://youtube.com/watch?v=bQeUkUO5ZPo

The opponent (Youger Guy) is a Karate Black Belt, and Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt.

Here is another video page of the beat down, scroll down to bottom of page.

Pipecrew 11-29-2006 10:26 PM

That was nasty, i guarantee that older guy went home and killed himself, since you could even see in the video, he thought he had it won before it even started

Vitasoy 11-29-2006 10:40 PM

He didn't even need to use any of his BJJ... nice strikes :)

xclusive 11-29-2006 10:41 PM

LOL just goes to show you should never underestimate anybody.

tony286 11-29-2006 10:43 PM

he beat up a old man wow lol

Vegas Ken 11-29-2006 10:44 PM

That is why I am a lover and not a fighter. I love MMA, but I know my limits.

WarChild 11-29-2006 10:48 PM

The no touch video has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever watched.

shekinah 11-29-2006 10:50 PM

This is fucking good:)

Grandmaster uses the force ;)

boneprone 11-29-2006 11:13 PM

Bro... You are sooooo out of the loop on this one its not even funny...

Do you know what REALLY happened?

boneprone 11-29-2006 11:17 PM

The grandmaster was a HUGE odds on favorite to win this one.. Something like 16 to 1 odds...

Everyone who was everyone in Japan that day bet on the old Grandmaster to win.. Everyone knew he was hands down one of the most feared not just in Japan but one of the most feared men in the world.

Everyone knew that it was a lock bet to bet on the Grandmaster... That is everyone but those in the know.......

The BP4L was one of the FIRST to find out that the Grand Master was going to throw the fight.. He told all of us, including myself that he would throw it in the first round..

Him, his family, his friends, and myself all made a two bet parlay.. That he would KO and KO in the first round..

The odds were HUGE..

You can say even though he lost, he won in a big way!

BP4L Baby!

This guy aint stupid..

He just Grandmastered the system all the way to the Bank!

actually if you know the martial arts, that is so disrespectful. A true martial artist would never do that. I know you know that, there is more to the martial arts then fighting.

teaching people fantasy as self defense is "disrespectful" to anyone in martial arts. there was another idiot just like this one in the US that got interviewed by 60 minutes or someone... he got totally humiliated by the reporter and ultimately had to concede that "some are more succeptable than others" to let himself off the hook.

Most Self defense classes are useless, unless the person studying is willing to practice every day until it involves no thought. Most arent willing to do that. I see these one day self defense workshops and i think they are more dangerous then good.
Now if that guy took on a young in shape Aikido guy, then it would be interesting.

in fact... i like you, so dont take this the wrong way... but i would go further and say that martial arts is fighting. the origins of all martial arts (with few exceptions) is that they are weaponless fighting systems designed to disable, or even kill the opponent.

90% of what is being taught today as "martial arts" is anything but.

ANYONE who trains day in and day out to kick, block and punch and believes in what they are doing should have NO problem in stepping out behind the building to test what they devote their life to with anyone who wants to. thats what fighting is all about.

anything else is just "exercise"

when you are calling yourself a "Grandmaster...." and getting as much PR as possible for what is obviously a fake "technique" that is impressing legions of kids who finally were able to distract themselves from fantasy role playing games to learn how to use "the force" -- then i have no problems with anyone calling it what it is. if its real.. he should have no problem getting in the ring and throwing people around with his "power" - instead, he got in the ring and promptly got knocked down by someone who looked to barely be an average fighter.

the guy in the video is disrespecting martial arts imho. the guy who knocked him on his ass set things right.

HOw is it disrepectful when it was the Aikido Grandmaster who put out the challenge?

What this Aikido guy does is pure BULLSHIDO. It's BULLSHIT Martial Arts that will get someone killed.

Look what happened to him in a sport enviroment with referrees.

There is only one reason to study a Martial Art. It is to win fighting.

What this Aikido guy is teaching is Dungeons and Dragons Role Playing, or it's present day incarnation LARPING.

agree completely. most people just dont understand what fighting is... what it takes to resist an attacker and how hard it even is to hurt another person. i get really upset at the idea of teaching women to do dumb shit like kick people in the balls and stomp on their feet when anyone who has been involved in any kind of fighting for any time at all knows exactly what happens when you meet force with force and agression with agression.

Tony,

It would be no different. Aikido guy would still lose.

For crying out loud, the MMA guy GRABBED HIS WRIST!!!

Aikido trains all it's techniques from the beginning by what?

GRABBING THE WRIST.

I should know. I have 2 years of it.

Anthony 11-30-2006 12:28 AM

I also want to point out Tony, that Aikido does NO LIVE SPARRING.

Everything you learn is THEORY, with no REAL WORLD APPLICATION.

Look at how dumbfounded the Aikido Grand master was after he got hit in the face!

Must have been the first time ever.

I believe you are talking about this VIDEO. :)

https://youtube.com/watch?v=qa1nzD-n25Q

What did they do? The brought in BRAZILLIAN JIU JITSU guys in from Carlson Gracie Chicago for them to try their shit on. It failed. One of the BJJ guys brought in is a UFC MMA fighter by the name of Stephan Bonnar before he went Pro.

Anything from George Dillman is bullshit, which is this guy's "Instructor"

But they all love that fantasy who do Aikido lol My friend was into it and he showed the tape of the old guy who created the art, doing that touchless shit.It was so obvious it was fake and he got really pissed at me for bringing that up. What it did do was get him in good shape and really helped him develope focus in his life, so its not all about fighting.
When I studied Kung FU in NYC ,200 pounds lighter lol. We were taught, to fight enough to get away and to come out of fight not hurt was more important than being bruce lee. Every school is different, I miss that school they were like a extended family.
I think it was sad to beat up a old man.

Tony,

I understand mate. I'm sorry for going off the deep end. After reading that, it reminded me that I thought I was invincible with Aikido. I even did UKE for Shirata Shihan when he came to the US for a seminar and I was being thrown around 200lbs male, by a 130lbs 5 foot Japanese man. So yes, I know it first hand the cultlike mentatlity of Aikido.

It's also the reason why I get so vehement about Martial Arts that are more like Cults than anything else. :(

SomeCreep 11-30-2006 12:37 AM

Lol, that invisible touch fighting was ridiculous.

That Aikido grand master got a grand beat down, that's for sure.

I can see your point :) I watched a show on one of the discovery channels, these two scientists disprove things and one of them was that. This master in Italy was throwing guys around and then when it was the scientists turn he went no where. It reminds me of those preachers that make people shake and tremble when they put their hand on their heads . lol In 2007 we are probably coming to your neck of the woods to shoot.I will let you know maybe you can have a cup of coffee with the wife and I . :)
