EpicCash VS Epassporte?? You get this email?

Quote:

**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**
Epic Cash will no longer use the epassporte system any longer as a payment option.

Why you ask?
For the simple fact they have put the adult webmasters and affiliate programs at risk.
what happened there? what "risk" are they reffering to other than the risk of losing some money which is the norm here.

sharp 06-11-2007 08:48 PM

hmmmmmmmmmm...........

CaptainHowdy 06-11-2007 09:02 PM

Damm ...

gleem 06-11-2007 09:02 PM

hmmmm indeed...

Tempest 06-11-2007 09:19 PM

There was a thread earlier.. I think it was Jayman cash where their bank told them to take their business elsewhere because of epass.

IMO, anyone continueing to do business with epass is just asking for trouble.

Spot On... We had quite a few problems when we were using Epass.

Not only is Epass located offshore, but they process gaming online which is illegal. Why shouldn't banks pull the plug?

aico 06-11-2007 09:36 PM

Nope, but I did get the email from Jayman Cash saying that their bank closed their business checking account due to their (Jayman Cash) relation with some unnamed adult company...

mikeyddddd 06-11-2007 09:46 PM

Did all the emails say "HEY! JOSH, Not sure if you read the last newsletter we sent out..." below the epassporte part?

Chris 06-11-2007 09:48 PM

this really is not good
first jayman cash *rumor only*
now epiccash

Shoehorn! 06-11-2007 09:49 PM

You'll be getting more and more emails like that. :2 cents:

geedub 06-11-2007 09:55 PM

frick on epass, i hate their guts.. been trying to withdrawl for a month now, it keeps fucking up, they give my money back, and we try again. real cool!

CuriousToyBoy 06-11-2007 09:56 PM

LionDollars has no problems paying EPassporte at all - but MANY US based ones will get more and more troubles as time goes on if things continue as they are now.

2c

MikeVega 06-11-2007 09:57 PM

Pete and I have been talking about this issue and we may pull it just to be safe. We know it makes life easy for our affiliates but we don't want to wait till its too late. We aren't making any changes just yet but we'll let you know.

Chris 06-11-2007 10:12 PM

for all your program owners like miek vega and CTB
can you please let us know what your worries are and why you feel that it would be "safe" to pull out?

Umm is it that hard to figure out? Online gambling is illegal in the US.. Epass is allowing users in the US to do online gambling transactions. Therefore allowing US users to break the law.

One only has to look at the other online payment systems that did the same and see where they are now. The first one hit was Paypal when the Patriot Act was used against them. Shortly after they dropped both gambling and Adult.

If US banks totally put a ban on epassporte it means you won't be able to pull your money out of ATMs or transfer money to or from your bank account. That's the best case. Worst case is if they figure out a way to freeze epasses accounts.

In the thread about it they named it... it was epass..

RawAlex 06-11-2007 10:30 PM

If I read it correctly, it appears that the feds may be putting pressure on the banks to stop dealing with epass - and backtracking money being put through the system and getting those sending accounts either blocked and shut down. It may be that the feds don't want to take epass on directly, and rather are contacting banks and making things miserable for them.

Programs need to take actions that they feel will protect their programs and allow them to continue forward in business. I don't pass judgement on Epass or the programs, but I appreciate the position that everyone involved would be in.

dcortez 06-11-2007 11:01 PM

I got the email as well, but I'm wondering if this is just another EC BS drama?

Isn't there a fellow who represents ePass on this board (Keye Soser?)?

Has there been any official comment or heads up from ePass. It's hard to imagine that they would jeopardize what seems to be one the biggest financial staples of the affiliate program system.

I'd like to hear what they have to say here. They're usually very good at responding to issues.

Yes I did. I sent them back an e-mail of thunderous applause.

:thumbsup

p1mpdogg 06-11-2007 11:18 PM

we are not using epassporte anylonger for their bad choices in the past putting my business and others at risk.

I support this indutry as epassporte clearly does not and only does whats in their best intrest when it suits them. I will also not put my own personal lively hood and my affiliates at risk for a 3rd parties choices.

answer anyones question?

My thoughts exactly.

:disgust

p1mpdogg 06-11-2007 11:24 PM

let me say this NOW.

our bank account is in perfict 100% standing. I solved the problem before it began thanks to jayman cash making my mind up for me.

EpicCash funds are 100% safe and secure and my bank knows what we do for a living and how we operate. they also fianced my house.

I have a good relationship with the bank that buys allot of food.

TubeSubmitters 06-11-2007 11:25 PM

time for epass to drop gambling maybe, or start another company for gambling

We've been shut out of Epass since Feb, so they aren't the first. :2 cents:

dready 06-11-2007 11:33 PM

I was referring to your dramatic ways of dealing with issues in general - specifically in your posts on GFY last year. You did not really establish much cred from my perspective.

I wanted to get a second opinion on your position.

How exactly is ePass risking others?

did you not see what happend to jayman cash?

you think i want that happening to me?

they also deal in online gambling. illegal in USA.

cranki 06-11-2007 11:40 PM

hm, never had a problem with epass and just *hoping* it'll stay that way, it's just too good of an option for foreign webmasters... :)

okdesign 06-11-2007 11:45 PM

This sucks! :(

doubt you will see one, we are just little fish in the big pond. I discouraged affiliates from using them because of there stupid fees. but there were about 100 that did, so who knows

Because they're located offshore?

Processing gambling is illegal only in America, dumbass.

rock-reed 06-12-2007 04:51 AM

I really like Epassporte.. I want them to clean up their act- so that the adult industry can continue to use them as payment.

Epass---Please comment.
