I remember there was a site, right after google maps opened their API, that showed all the gfy'ers on world map, was kind of cool thing

nada... running on my code dev box with everything but java turned off for pop testing...

well it doesn't technically find out your location it just uses the ip closest to you so if your on completely different blocks

its kind of hard to extrapolate results from such a small userbase.

like if i had a database of just user-city and found users that matched the same city , for many users there would be no match

to find cities nearest the city your in that also has a gfy user is a bit intense for something to just mess around for no money lol

i could make a simple " other gfy users in your city" version
