I see what the problem is, you're holding the club the wrong way round, you're supposed to have your body the other way round, with your left hand at the top and right hand at the bottom :)
FYI
Keeping your right arm straight and keeping your left elbow tucked in closer to your body will do far more to get you under 100 than that club will. |

I'm 72yo and use Jack Hamm's Hammer. I shoot a solid 82 average on most courses. Shot a 37 on 9 holes yesterday. 2 bogies, 1 bird, rest pars. Life is great when you are over 70 yo. My drives average 205 and I am known by all the club members as "fairway Jerry". I rarely miss the short grass. :thumbsup
fukin cool deal! :D
i hate golf!
Screw the new driver...
If you want to break 100 learn to chip and putt...that's where you will make up the most strokes. You only use a driver 14 - 15 times a round (less if you're smart!) but the game of golf is set up for 36 putts. And if your driving sucks you likely chip a lot. Learn to be more accurate in short distances (under a PW < 100 yards) and watch your stroke count melt below the coveted 100 mark :thumbsup |

Thanks all for your kind comments & tips! |

As for that pic of you driving...sad LOL You're laying the club back behind you on the takeaway...you can tell by your top position. The takeaway is key to the success of your swing. Swing it smooth and wide! And never swing the club from the top...your first move towards the ball should be your back elbow (you a lefty???) dropping in towards your ribcage. After that it's just timing to get your hands caught up with the club :) Also, check your alignment -- you're aiming a bit left of the ideal line in that pic...I would bet you sliced that shot into the woods on the left. FYI -- I play with a $150 "Knight" set from Wal-mart and can break 100. About 10 years ago I had a set of Snake Eyes custom made for me -- spent over $1200 on the fuckers. I Have never played a full round with them...couldn't hit them worth a shit... |

Now I promise to get a private teacher if your company buy me that driver :thumbsup |

Play more... it is the ONLY solution. With that said best of luck getting the club, you do have a real good amount of post.

I can't bump this thread. I play in the low 90s. ;)
Don't spend your money on a club, get lessons instead...-2 cents-
I'm usually too drunk to remember my score, but here's a bump
LOL! Thanks everybody, heading to the driving range!
feet Hips and shoulders are all in the wrong positions.
If you want to break 100, leave the driver at home.
I started breaking 100 consistently when I bought hybrids to replace my 3, 4, and 5 irons and stopped using my driver. A year or so later I'm down in the lower 80s. As Jerryb said, he drives the ball 205 and shoots in the 70s. Someone your size and age probably hits your 4 iron 205. On a 350 yard hole what good does it do you to hit a driver 275? It's easier if you hit it out 200 and then knock a 7 iron onto the green. Be the ball Danny. |
