Tragic, no doubt. This isn't the first time this has happened though and it won't be the last.

John-ACWM 05-17-2010 03:32 AM

Simply sad, what can you say more...

PornMD 05-17-2010 03:47 AM

And cops wonder why most of us hate them...that's just awful. :(

LoveSandra 05-17-2010 04:05 AM

oh god:(

Upon entering the home, the officer encountered a 46-year-old female inside the front room, Godbee said. "Exactly what happened next is a matter still under investigation, but it appears the officer and the woman had some level of physical contact.
Quote:

Jones claimed the officers had the wrong house, but Godbee said in the statement the 34-year-old suspect in Blake's death was found and arrested at the home. In addition, a vehicle and a moped matching the descriptions of those involved in Blake's shooting were also found, he said.
Funny how these two points were completely missed in the news report.

BlackCrayon 05-17-2010 04:33 AM

Detroit. 'Nuff said.

I'd have to say that until you do their job then it's hard to judge them. It's a shame a child was killed in a situation like this but there was obviously a reason the gun was out. Cops don't just pull their guns for no reason.

I'm sure after a bit of time we will find out if it was purely the cops fault or not.

The thing about cops when you don't need them they bothe the fuck out of you, when you doneed them they're out eating donuts or napping in their squad cars.

when a person is killed in the commission of a crime, the 'criminal' is responsible for that death. resisting the execution of a search warrant for murder is a 'crime'

The police themselves are saying they fucked up and it is their fault.

typically guns are always drawn when entering a home for a search warrent. especially if they have to forcefully enter.

CarlosTheGaucho 05-17-2010 06:31 AM

Shit like this unfortunately happens, no one is proud of it and no details were given

Those feeding the anti police hysteria should think of those that kill kids intentionally

Phoenix 05-17-2010 06:34 AM

some peoples posts in here make me wonder what kind of people they are

wow

sad for the little girl

Marcus Aurelius 05-17-2010 06:43 AM

Her dumb useless parents were aiding and abetting a murderer. I wish the cops shot everyone in that house.

Look to the bright side though. We will have 1 less crack whore on welfare 10 years from now!!!

Is a good point as a struggle may have caused the gun to go off accidentally. Personally I think even if this is 99% percent the cops fault you do have to give at least 1% percent of the blame to the family as you wouldn't have SWAT coming to your house in the middle of the night with search warrants unless your doing shady shit which increases the risk of mistakes happening.

some of the brightest minds have come from the ghetto, just because the family is shady doesn't mean a few bright kids wont escape it and succeed, horseshit comment on your end.

Where did you study law ? If i jaywalk and a cop pulls out a gun and starts shooting at me and instead kills some kid, are you telling me i am responsible because i was jaywalking? not gonna happen.

While laws vary from state to state in detroit in order to charge the grandmother , she would have to have been committing a felony not a misdemeanor.

michael.kickass 05-17-2010 08:12 AM

That's just insane.
