Great News from Epassporte.... Wire Sent!!!!
 

Hey Guys. I?ve been in constant contact with my rep (as well as a few other people) at Epassporte. Personally, the biggest thing I?ve been waiting to see is when wires would start being sent out. In my opinion that is the first step in the right direction. Today I heard one of my two wire requests was approved and sent. I have yet to receive it and as soon as I do I will update everyone. I believe this is the first step in the right direction.

I just wanted to add two things for you guys to think about.

First.. I?ve said this before and I think it?s worth repeating. This industry has had it?s fair share of companies that have gone under and disappeared with people?s money. Chris has been involved in a few situations where his companies ran into difficulties but EVERY single time those companies survived and paid everybody every single penny that was owed. I have never heard of a single person that Chris Mallick has screwed over. You may not like the guy but everything I?ve ever read shows that in a situation like this you WANT Chris Mallick involved. He?s our best chance at survival and getting paid. He fights his ass off and does whatever possible to make sure his clients get paid. That is huge in my opinion.

Second... You guys have to remember the people at Epassporte are human, they can read, and they have good memories. If you treat them like shit and rip them to shreds you can be DAMN sure it isn?t doing you any favors. I?ve seen this in the past. People that attack and try to bury a company usually get fucked the hardest. Those that are supportive and hopeful are usually the first to get paid. It?s human nature. Put yourself in their shoes. If you had 10 people that were supportive and 10 people that were real assholes. Who would you pay first? Might want to consider that before making your next post.

To those of you that think MiddleMen caused this. Are you kidding? Do you know how hollywood works? That movie started 3 years ago. He had all the money put aside in escrow back then. You think the big name stars he had would show up for a nobody if the money wasn?t guaranteed? Come on. The timing is ironic but that?s all it is.

All in all I think this is a step in the right direction. I?ve done a lot of research this week. I?ve made a lot of phone calls. There has been a lot of information posted that really makes the situation look bad. I?ll be honest I?ve been worried. But for every bad thing I?ve seen posted I?ve heard a good thing from people with some REAL knowledge of what?s going on. Obviously nobody is saying it publically because if it turns out to not be true the mob will turn their attention towards them. That said I think with funds starting to be released people should tone it down a little. People reporting this to the news, calling the feds etc is retarded. Have you read the posts on here this week? There are some great posts and some intelligent people HOWEVER for every great post there are 10 retarded ones. Our industry is under enough stress as it is. We don?t need any more.

Give the man time. If the wires went out today it?s a huge step and shows Epassporte is far from dead. Supporting them gives us a better shot of getting paid than attacking them.

I'd just like to add the amount of the wire that was sent was BIG. Big enough that I'm convinced a company that is going out of business would not send it. The fact they sent it clearly indicates to me that they have every intention of staying in business and making this right for everyone.

Flashfire said his was sent he is just waiting for it to hit his bank accout. His was for a huge amount as well.

Stan mentioned he received notice a 6 figure amount was sent as well to him. This is great news! I know we were all underwhelmed by yesterday's announcement. To be honest the only thing I've been waiting for is news on the wires. This trumps yesterday's no news imo.

Having said, that Epassporte is holding millions of dollars belonging to other people hostage with no information. In fact, what official information has come out has contradicted with the bank and Visa are saying.

About Middle Men ... the timing sucks. Middle Men was a HUGE investment that went bust. We only know about it because it was about our industry. How many other big bets gone sour has he made?

Are we supposed to ignore the fact that someone from Oxymoron Entertainment emailed Epass customers informing them to route their wires to a bank Mallick may have controlled. Banks make money by lending it out ... I hope it didn't lend any to Mallick. Of course we'll never know because there is zero transparency with the company handling other peoples money.

You know what, I was just thinking of something.

If ePass got sorted and turned to be similar to paypal. i.e. p2p but no card (for non US members) even that would be suitable for me. If I could withdraw to my bank for a low fee I would give a crap about the atm card.

but anyway, that being said I'm still confident ePass will be back to normal soon.

I am waiting on a massive wire also. (50K +). I received confirmation that my wire request was received. "for your Wire Transfer Request and our Account
Verification Department approved with".

Don't think it's being sent yet though. Good post Shap, much agreed. If you don't mind me asking, has the balance been taken out of your wallet yet? I've managed to arrange payments and receive payments another way in the mean time. So I am lucky there, considering I pay a 5 figure bill every month for the hosting companies I am involved in. The largest annoyance I have is that constantly accepting wires/checks for my clients will not be so easy. Not so much the larger ones, but the many smaller ones who send regular low payment amounts. No ePass would suck, I am hoping it pulls through.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that I am glad wires are starting to go out. I hope everybody that requests one gets one.

I only have $144 of my on skin in Epass. I have my biggest sponsors send me wires, most US sponsors send me checks and have all of the random $50-100 payments sent to Epass, which I turned around and used for things like hosting and buying services related to my business.

I was confident and even pro-epass on the boards until last nights post about everybody has been wiring their funds to a Mallick-friendly bank.

Great news Shap. They promised that the wires and the availability of the money on Wallet won't be a problem at all.

Our money on VISA cards is still in question, but I definitely feel more confident now that you guys will get you big bucks back. As I previously stated, I will continue supporting ePassporte if they pull this off!

They've been great for last 6 years for me, I don't see a problem to have a great relationship with them for the next 6 as well.

Good news to hear wires are going out. Most money is stuck in VV though for most of us, and for me.. keep us updated.

I will believe it when the money is in your hands... Until then it is gone...

Was the wire sent from money in your visa or just in your epass wallet?


if it was the wallet then its old news. They were being sent this whole time.

i think its great news that epass is sending out wires, but anyone who continues to use them going forward needs to have their heads examined...

let epass settle the debt owed and then quietly go out of business..

I had a wire hit my account early this week
from the WALLET not the visa thing
I never fucked with that visa thing it just looked to much a shady way to try to avoid paying taxes for me to touch

um whats the difference between wire and ACH?
