The future of Paul Markham. Discuss.
I'll throw my two cents in:
Produce a better Paul Markham and the Industry will rebound, one where it doesn't take 1:1000 to convert a surfer into a GFY Paul Markham post reader. Anyone can drive traffic to a Paul Markham GFY post but will it last? Can we count on a future where Paul Markham posts are gauranteed? Only if we produce better, less-saturated Paul Markhams with unique perspectives not connected to tube sites but rather magazines and high-quality production values in his Avatars. Discuss. |

the future of the adult industry: adult diapers?
|
Great discussion, we need a Paul Markham that doesn't get stuck in repeat mode reciting the obvious. We need one that thinks outside the box and is readily available to adapt to an ever changing online adult landscape.

Can you name anyone in online porn who thinks outside the box? Most people just think inside the box or copy what others are doing. |
1. His wife will grow tired of taking care of and supporting him and will leave him.
2. His cancer will recur and he will die. |

I'm getting the point now where I don't believe he means anything he says. Just does it to wind people up. No one can have made 2 million and be this stupid. |
Once upon a time the light bulb companies all got together and made a rule that anyone who created a light bulb which lasted over 'X' amount of months would receive a fine; hence why we have to buy new light bulbs all the time.
If adult webmasters went along the same route and fined anyone who shows nudity or more outside of paysites then it would be a winner, but it would require a lot of organisation and a bit of corruption to make it happen. The corruption bit is pretending we're bringing in the laws to protect children from seeing what they shouldn't and that sign-ups are for age verification |

Also, I think it's very wrong to ever make light of associating porn with CP. Tim and his crew fight tirelessly (http://www.xbiz.com/news/136376) to stop that sort of thing without someone like you making a gag about it. |
?The light bulb conspiracy? is a documentary about the negative effects of consumerism and planned obsolescence. The light bulb conspiracy is a theory that the leading manufacturers of incandescent light bulbs have conspired to keep the lifetime of their bulbs far below their real technological capabilities. This way, they ensure the continuous demand for more bulbs and hence, long-term profit for themselves.

The Phoebus Cartel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoebus_cartel The Phoebus cartel was a cartel of, among others, Osram, Philips and General Electric from December 23, 1924 until 1939 that existed to control the manufacture and sale of light bulbs. The cartel is an important step in the history of global economy because of their involvement in the creation of great-scale planned obsolescence. Purpose The cartel served as a convenient way to lower costs and took on considerable efforts to cap the life expectancy of light bulbs at 1000 hours,[3] while at the same time hiking prices without fear of competition. Standardization of light bulbs was another side-effect of the cartel. |
well, we know lightbulbs could last much longer if they wanted to ;)
